What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Vegetable soup (onions/garlic/carrot/courgette/asparagus trimmings....all blitzed up with some veg stock) with grated cheese and garlic bread. Made the soup last night, so a nice quick one to do

Not really soup weather, mind!

Cheese Burgers, coleslaw, corn on the cob, salad, maybe some cous cous. Don't know why I'm cooking this the day before we go to a bbq.

^ huh?

I'm gonna make a huge vat of Egyptian lentil soup so we've got some for tea tonight, and then enough to take away with us at the weekend

I saw this stuff in Deptford market called Allegra - £1 for 3 so thought I'd give it a go
Not quite sure I understand it tbh. Are they actual eggs? Cos some veggies do eat eggs. The fella eats all dairy produce.

Anyhoo, change of plan. Mozzarella cheeseburgers in baps with dirty cheese slices, cous cous and salad for us tea toneet

Nah, it's soya. Thing is one packet makes 750ml of ersatz beaten egg, which is about 20 eggs or so, so I'm not entirely sure what to do with it now

Was thinking of a simple spring onion omelette first.
Yeah, will have to scale down, but that will mean open packets of perishable organic matter

I couldn't do it, Sheo. The thought of even turning on the oven was just too much so i popped to the shops and bought the makings of chicken and crispy bacon caesar salad.
mint choc chip ice cream lolly for pud. and maybe a cheeky g&t too......

:D GOOD JOB! :D

I had my soup for lunch (*SWEATY* ), fed the kids this evening (they don't seem to note the distinction between winter/summer meals...they just like it or they don't :D ) and I'm having spritzers instead and might have a sandwich later :D
I would LIKE Rick Stein's Vietnamese chicken salad :hmm: ...buuuuuuut...I have none of the ingredients (tell a lie, I have ginger and CARROTS! ) :(

My sister is joining us for chilli sausages in finger rolls with onions, caesar salad, potato salad with chives from my garden.
Ice cream lollies and booze for pudding.

Just been to the supermarket and they had:
No salad
No tomatoes or cucumber
No peppers
No halloumi
No hummus or dips
No pitta bread
No veggie sausages
No summery vegetables.

Damn you panic bbq buyers.

So we're having stuffed mushrooms, jersey royals and peas.

My brother's just headed off out to get us some chinese. We're splitting all this lot: Chicken in black bean sauce made extra spicy, the same but with beef, deep fried crispy chilli chicken X2, noodles.

And chips, *as an afterthought*.
