What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I made the cannelloni yesterday - ended up using all quorn mince rather than a mix of that and green lentils, and I found THE best quick method for bechamel ever - it came out perfectly. I usually have problems with it, but not this time  Anyhoo - it was quite a lot of faff but worth it.

Tonight - spag bol. ooo.

My ISA is my EMERGENCY BACK UP PLAN money though....for washing machines, moving costs, to cover bills when I'm having a stretched month, uniform...boring stuff like that :( ....it's defo not spends for takeaways :D (and it's actually just below the amount I'm comfortable with it being at already :hmm: ) but I'm throwing caution to the fucking wind today!
I have an ISA that I've continually raided (it only had redundancy money in it anyway, not actual savings) but it is at the level you mention now.

I am praying that our collective PPI claims come through, and that I get placed in at least one poetry comp this summer!!

Oh well, daughter ended up going out all night last night so we got lashed on wine, got rude, and had a scrummy tea of roast field mushrooms (with a couple of portobellos in there cos they were going cheap) with roast onions and garlic, and I used orzo for the first time - just mixed pesto in with it and it was a lovely accompaniment to the mushrooms etc
Right:
Greek Lamb and Orzo Stew, takes a while but very low effort really and so delicious and impressive to serve for guests

Not sure if you're more veggie than meaty though so here is a great salad dish to take to BBQs etc. It has been really well received whenever I've taken it to parties, particularly by veggies :D

For our dinner I am making roast duck legs with red wine and quince gravy, potato dauphanoise (sp?! now i can only see dolphin noses :D) Steamed carrots and broccoli.
This should make up for bad wife beans on toast yesterday..... hopefully.

Although.... I dont really feel like I am the one that should be grovelling as the husband waited for me to fall asleep on saturday night then snuck off and ate some of the brownies i'd made. Shocking behaviour and grounds for divorce I reckon.

Sausages, cut up and put in a sauce with chilli pasta (not tried chilli pasta before...it's from Asda). I'll let you know what it's like.
