What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Chicken curry using 4 thighs.

Used:
Onion, Garlic, 2 value vegetable stock cubes, 4 birds eye chillies, savoy cabbage, tin of value plum tomatoes and some value curry powder.
Having some roasts which I cooked with a few mixed value herbs, some oil and threw some chopped spring onion in there for a laugh.
Bot of of a mish mash, english roasts and indian curry but I can't cook rice, given up.

The curry value curry powder might be shit, I know the stock cubes are not going to be the best but the mixed herbs seem fine.

Much rather have used one of those dry mix packs which you put in a blender, I'll let you know how good the value curry powder is.

We had: leftover corned beef and cabbage soup, leftover lamb stew, baguette with roasted garlic purée and-- wait for it-- green salad. :)

Unadorned lemon pie for dessert.

tonight was i had Dongel Catch with parents. thats fine. i have been reading. But please LET IT BE KNOWN that i think DR Conrad Murray is RESPONSIBLE for that 'accident' and he has a LOT to answer for.:(I want Urbans to only back this, but also the REVOLUTION that is NIGH and that is IMMINENT and that we HAVE TO HAVE!!! My design network on this is forthcoming. I want people to not lose sight of what they NEED. TO BE CONTINUED.

I can't WAIT for part 2, tbf!

And welcome back YIO... looking forward to more of your meal descriptions :D

Morning, B! *ruffles your hair* :D

I forgot to say what I'm having for dinner (although I already said it yesterday, tbf  :D )!

The roasted duck crown (OMG can't wait! :D ), with roast potatoes (no mash, OBV!  ), cauli cheese and green beans.
I'm also seriously considering wandering down to Sainsburys later to get the ingredients to make my mum's delicious Xmas dinner stuffing (http://www.urban75.net/forums/threads/how-do-i-stuff-a-bird.192881/#post-6758716) to go with it....although if I do I'll just end up non-stop scoffing it till it's all gone.... :hmm:

I COULD but I *wouldn't* iykwim... :D

It's very possibly my single most favourite *foodstuff* ever....so I WOULD just keep eating it till it's gone. :D

Lol, prob best saved for a chicken or turkey then :D

You lost me at the mortadella I'm afraid... don't like :(

Not sure what's for tea yet, maybe risotto... at the moment all I can think of is croissants and jam, which I don't have :D

I'm having more of mrsfrans puy lentil lasagne which I did relent and put cheese on due to cries from BF. I shall serve it with salad whilst at work.

I accidentally went to Sainsburys and bought all the ingredients for the stuffing  ( ).

I am WELL EXCITED now, tbf! :D

B, you really wouldn't notice the mortadella - there's not much in it and there are so many different flavours - it's really like the combination of everything is a unique NEW flavour, iykwim :hmm: OMFG I LOVE it! :D
In fact, I actually justified doing it to myself cos I already had 3 small red peppers from the garden (that I hadn't thought of a use for) AND some german sausage slices, which needed using and a tiny 30g pack of serrano ham, so I used those in place of the mortadella and the prosciutto...so will TEST to see if there's any difference! :D

Only thing is I couldn't fit potatoes in the oven :( but will save the par-boiled ones and do them tomorrow (cos then I can just reheat some of the cauli cheese and stuffing and the duck in smaller dishes).....and that means I can be GREEDIER with the amount of stuffing I eat TODAY, too - BONUS! :D

ARGH - still half an hour to go - I'm fucking STARVING!

The provisional chemical name for vitamin C Chipolatas, if thawed in time. And something.

Edited to add: The something was bombay potatoes.

You must be stuffing your face now! :D

Put some in the post for me ;)

Thanks for the welcome back, Sheo and Biddlybee. :)

I've just dispatched and plucked a very young goose (an hour and a half of my life I won't get back). It wouldn't be ready in time for dinner, so I'll make something light and we'll have the goose at suppertime. I'm planning on doing it in pieces in a vaguely North African style with currents, root vegetables and couscous. Creamed chard as well, if I can be arsed to face the wind and rain and go out to the garden to fetch it. If not, green salad. Possibly rhubarb strudel too, on the off-chance I get ambitious later.
