What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I suddenly massively fancy some 1970s style devilled eggs. Weird.

What we will in fact be doing though, is a nice big fry up. Yum.

tonight is a quick waitrose ready meal chinese thing (king prawns) with loads of rice, an amount of rice fit for about 3 people  slathered in dark soy

I fried some bits of bacon and onion in a sloosh of walnut oil, added chipotle chilli flakes, garlic and two large grated courgettes. That got mixed up with pasta quills. Will feed 4, three of whom are blokes with hollow legs.

Inspired by a dish I saw in an episode of the anime Ghost In The Shell S.A.C I was watching last night I had my first successful Japanese style dish. Steak, chicken, chirozo and savaloy (No... Really... It was in the fridge looking lonely) braised with vegetables in a chicken, ginger, wasabi and plum stock served with plain noodles and a hard boiled egg. Fucking gorgeous it was

Its thursday so it must be Asda pizza night. 14" stonebake, barbecue sauce on the base, hickory steak, bacon & feta.

Half a slab of lasagne from the freezer, half a garlic baguette, salad leaves with some of my colleagues tomatoes, some isle of White dressing and a cheeky glass of wine.

Maybe some cherrylicious ice cream for pud too :)

Free for all night (just grab what you like when it's wanted) - a couple of vegetable spring rolls, mini cheddars, chicken salad, raspberry yogurt from the freezer, and a mug of tea

My sister took pity on my poverty and fed me wild mushroom burritos with guacamole and sour cream and stuff. It was lovely. :)

We had some M&S vouchers from sky (I know : o ) and bought a tagine but had some money left so today I bought beef wellington and some Percy Pigs.

So that with garlicky roasted new potatoes, green beans, broccoli and roasted carrots. Might also make a red wine gravy.

Key lime pie and gin later too. Hurrah!

Starter of posh houmous and pitta breads. Main of marinated BBQ steak and PSB. Pudding either creme caramel or cheese and oatcakes. Plus Lidl Prosecco to accompany :)

pasta and 'cheesy' peas

a plateful of vegan stodge in other words, love this recipe as it's very handy for using up back of the cupboard ingredients. it's accompanied by some garlic bread (warmed up a bread roll I discovered in freezer, brushed with garlic, oil and various herbs)
