What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Everyone is having really lovely sounding teas tonight!

I think I am leaning towards chicken thighs in a creamy (well, a roux based sauce made with oat milk) mushroom, tarragon and garlic sauce (EDIT: oooh a splosh of brandy in that would be ace, I have some brandy).

I have new potatoes that need using, but I am going to be honest, I really want the above with either rice or pasta. I might use the potatoes to make potato salad for lunches/sides over the next few days, that way they'll get used. We both love potato salad so that would be a good use for them!

I took my kids to Canova Hall for birthday pizza and pasta, great food.
Outside we saw a man fall unconscious in the middle of Brixton Road so I had to sober up quick, stop the traffic, call an ambulance and give him first aid.
Scary, he was unconscious for about four minutes, but he came round and then the ambulance crew took over.

My bulk retsina order arrived (unfortunately one bottle broke in transit, I have been reassured that my bill is adjusted accordingly), so I feel as though I should make Greek chicken and potatoes to celebrate. Greek salad on the side, I even think we have some hoummus and taramasalata in the fridge. Glass or 2 of retsina ofc :D

Feta stuffed roast peppers, pesto fusilli, with a rocket/watercress/spinach salad dressed with olive oil and blood orange balsamic.

Co op's delish choccy cake with blueberries, and a decaff tea for afters.

We’ve got shredded lamb shawarma from Sainsburys with couscous and peppers, tomatoes and onion fried in a spicy paste. The pitta is mouldy so garlic and coriander nan to go with.
We seem to be spending loads of money on easy to cook stuff to avoid living on oven chips and beans on toast.
