That's awesome! Not even so much as a box of ferrero rocher between us here, we weren't expecting to be in lurgy quarantine. :(

Actually just getting a little bit tearful that we're stuck indoors ill but it's not like we'd have been able to afford to have anything fancy even if we were weren't lurgied up and self-isolating...

So let me live vicariously through you all, if any of you are having valentines feasts remember to tell us about it/post a photo :D :)

We are going to have a nice night in if OH is well enough to get out of bed, we have food, we have beer, we have Silent Pool gin and some pink peppercorn tonic, we'll make a nice night of it if we can (depending upon how his asthma is holding up under the Covid onslaught, he has mostly been ok up until yesterday when ironically he started feeling better but his breathing got worse, although it did seem a bit better earlier today).

I do think when we can afford it and when it is feasible in terms of health we need to have a really nice meal out together - I've missed 2 birthdays including a big number one and valentines days due to this COVID fucker, missed out on more than that due to loss of earnings overall and not being able to afford to do stuff, I feel like when we can at some point we need to have a fantastic meal out somewhere

Same as mate. We were talking tonight about how quickly such a time (2 years has passed), we were both 49 pre 1st lockdown, I’ll be 52 next month.

And a nice meal out is always appreciated.

Where we were tonight is great and to get a complimentary bottle was lovely.

Much love to you and your lovely missuz xx

Chiquito was on the menu for me tonight. Valentines date night.

BBQ chickens wings and nachos to share for starter and I had a pulled pork burrito and skin on fries and the other half Encholada in BBQ chicken and fries. Washed down with a pint of Corona for me.

A real Monday night treat!

Small one pizza with peppers on the side and Alphabites. Himself spicy seafood risotto, I am having grilled chicken breast in a pitta bread with salad, frozen grapes for pud for me and the small one is having banana ice cream.

I was supposed to make some complex tofu thing, but finished work late and went straight for the Old El Paso fajita kit, with some home fries on the side. Seventy hundred of my five-a-day.
Honestly it is like there is some sort of giant magnet on the Old El Paso shelf in the supermarket that attracts the OH - after we've been in there for a bit I realise that we are circling in a declining orbit centred around that shelf.

This is how we ended up having tacos the other night, we unaccountably had several boxes of taco shells in the cupboard.

I think I have dissuaded him from buying the full kits though after demonstrating how easy it is to make up the spice mixes for things (and we have all the spices, if you don't already then nothing wrong with getting a kit with a spice mix)
