What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Don't eat meat and rarely have any junk food. Usually only to fend off impending booze fuelled vom and that might be pitta slad and chips.
People at work think I'm posh with the food I eat but that's not exactly hard on a building site

You sure you don't want to hook up with a fat grandma? A salad eating ruffy tuffy builder

LOL :D

Thanks to the 'what have you got in your freezer' thread....and seeing as how the small girl is at her dad's today, my son and I are going to feast on a whole huss, which we're going to do several ways - in a curry, marinated in some lemon/olive oil/garlic then dipped in some flour and fried and some other way that I haven't decided on yet. Garden peas and asparagus to go with it. Oh and corn on the cob!
Garden strawbs and greek yoghurt for pudding.

i'm out tonight and thinking of trying to keep the food cheap. I will prob be eating somewhere in The Mailbox in B'ham so I'm thinking Pizza Express (2 course for £10) or more likely Pizza Slut and the any pizza & unlimited salad for £5. It leaves more cash for cocktails...found a place that is doing £4 cocktails till 8pm...

I'm going into serious saving mode for my jaunt to the Philippines next month so I shall mostly be making job lots of spag bol and curry. I may treat myself to a steak tonight before the hardship though :D

I am already in serious skint mode due to my holiday a couple of week ago :(
Still, I made the most of the rainy day yesterday and stocked up the freezer with homemade soup and muffins.
I also cooked an enormous gammon joint which we had with roast pots and veg.

There are loads of leftovers, so... gammon egg and chips for the boys tonight, and something involving gammon for me - perhaps just with a jacket spud and salad.

Something that will use up the asparagus I've got. Anything besides risotto that is quick and relatively easy that takes lots (well two bunches) of asparagus?

Quick tea tonight as will be busy. So - fusilli with LG tom and basil sauce, black olives, parmesan

And a fuck off big choccy cake from the Co Op cos they were on offer at £1.49

My mother is making chicken pie. It will taste of whatever air freshener she has plugged in this week but at least I won't have to cook.
