What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Trout with noodles and stir fried brocoli, carrots, courgettes and mushrooms. I'm really looking forward to it. :)

cooked some spiralli pasta with a kind of cheats pesto of toasted pinenuts, spinach, extra virgin olive oil and a big dollop of Boursin - the beauty is that the Boursin slinks silkily into the oil, creating propa melt in the mouth chemistry:cool:

Penne with chilli, garlic, lemon, parmesan and (home-grown) grated courgettes. Was fucking lovely.

Caramel pannacotta with (home-grown) strawbs for pud in a mo.

I'm loving this gardening shit now  :D

Last night was sausage and mash with a small twist.
The potatoes were not really mashed, more crushed with butter.
Did brown the sausages in the oven but then cooked them in a pan of stock with onions and big chunks of tomato.
Was really, really tasty!!

Tonight I'm off out for a curry to a local Indian place. Myself & BF will share about 3 dishes (probably 1 main (paneer) & 2 veg sides) with naan & rice. I'm expecting it to be tasty. Last week we went to a place in Llanberis and we paid £50!!!! for quite frankly tasteless food and a pint of cider each. It probably would have come to about £35 between us if the bill wasn't split equally by numbers of heads....

Off youth hostelling with my mum and the kids tonight so we're gonna go for fish and chips or something near the train station before we trek off to the hostel.

I think we'll get a large curry delivered so that I can concentrate on the important stuff, like beer, wine & smoking.

Chicken breasts stuffed with philly and breadcrumbs with roasted veg (red onion, peppers, cherry toms and garlic) with new potatoes.

Cauldron veggie sausages, mash, mushy peas, tahini, apple sauce and cotes du Rhône ... and un-glucosed Deglet Nour dates to follow - they're back. :)

Feta and chard* pie (made by Chemistry To The Rescue) with salad followed by chocolate cake (made by me) and strawberries with wine (hopefully supplied by Guest).

*substitute of misc. greens,
