What's for tea tonight? (#8)

shut it you snob... £5 tesco hand blender has lasted me years :p

:p Mayyyybe then.

Didn't do the pesto last night, tother half not well so I did the best arrabiata I've ever made (in order to kill germs with chillis!), and used cavatappi instead of penne, which works way better I think.

Dunno about tonight. Perhaps the pesto?

They are dead handy, honest. Especially with curries, like people have said, wizz onions, ginger, garlic

*googles cavatappi*

Yep - I have a handheld thing which attaches on to a soup/smoothie blender thingy and one of the little blitzers for pastes/marinades/pesto/breadcrumbs etc and I use them both all the time.
Wouldn't be without either, no way!

fuckin' starving as i write this.

steamed spare ribs.
spinach flamed with rice wine.
tofu/ grounded beef - chinese style.

I suspect Masahiko will use ribs many more ways than me mind, so he may have some more exacting requirements.

Ribs can be tough, larger ones especially so. I generally get around that by parboiling the bastards first before marinating and cooking. Good for bunging quickly on to the bbq that way

yesterday had two dinners: lunch was a conference buffet (but quite good). I avoided the rice and salad, instead having the fat bastard option of dauphinoise potato, gnocci, chicken in white wine sauce (not good), and asparagus. All on same plate. Dessert was a wedge of Baileys cheesecake, and second dinner was hors doevres & booze same shazzle as Monday. No pastie. Tonight i had a tesco's own canneloni and potato crquettes, now eating extra large Twix and drinkin tea.

I got em from Sainsburys. Not out a tin, marinaded in something. Yep I do know what they taste like, but never had em on toast!

It wasn't that nice tbh.

My parents are away. So some people are coming round for dinner. Going to make spinach and goats cheese risotto.

Wish my parents hadn't decided to bloody LOCK all the doors of the house except the loo, kitchen and my bedroom  Yes, becaues I'm 14 years old and not actually just turned 26...

Just me tonight  and I think I'm going to have a filthy Danepak chinese style ribsteak in pitta bread with mayo, a cheese slice, tomato and lots of homegrown lettuce.
