What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I wish you'd been around last night mrsfran...Very Tall Lodger was behind the bar for that Finnish deaf rapper who played the Forum in Kentish Town and I showed him some signs....he asked me for the sign for ice and I couldn't remember for the life of me so I told him just to point at the ice bucket.

I would like spag bol or lasagne but neither of us can be arsed to cook.

We have some thin steak so that with chips and mushrooms. Probably in baguettes.

The steak that is, not the chips.

Steak and chips is probably more effort than spag bol :D

Went with pork and chorizo meatballs in the end, simmered for 3 hours in a tomato and red wine sauce, and considering it was a made up tea it was lush. Boy was very happy and had fusili with his, I had a little couscous :)

It probably was tbh but I couldn't be arsed with all the chopping and shit.

We've been babysitting a 4yo since yesterday morning and we're fucking shattered. : o

We had steak baguettes and chips. We had garlic mayo, mushrooms and rocket salad with the steaks.

had a cheeseburger and chips at Gourmet burger with a strawberry milkshake around 3, now finishing fusili with garlic oil, toasted pinenuts, spinach, chilliflakes and cheese. Will follow with teacakes and chai tea.

my first attempt at yorkies

I cooked this for the girls

poached chicken in white whine and mushroom sauce

Chinese style chicken wings, oven chips and salad. Making lemon curd cupcakes with my daughter too, so those for pudding with some strawbs from the garden on the side.

I'm thinking something with oven chips too. I have McCains crinkle cut ones as every so often I get overtaken by childhood memories and buy them. I used to think crinkle cut chips were crazy/exciting and loved getting them for dinner. I have to say that my dad was great at making chips & we usually had homemade so maybe it was the novelty? I felt this way in a lesser way about Alphabites.

Good yorkies internetstalker

Tonight is lamb chops, some form of potato and some form of vegetable.

Last night was pie, roast potatoes & carrots, steamed broccoli, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. Got a new measuring jug for making the Yorkshire mix - graded at intervals of 10ml/1 fluid ounce with an angled measurer so you can see the volume from above. I'm probably far more excited about this than is really healthy.

Tonight the screaming hordes have demanded macaroni cheese.

chorizo, bean and mushroom concoction with either brown rice or some really tasty pasta that I brought back from unsound, WIN!

That is pure kitchen porn, my friend

I need one now

Me too, I need one now.
No, I really do need one. I used to use one of my boy's baby bottles to measure small amounts of liquid, but all the marks have rubbed off so I had to bin it.

Pasta bake tonight involving chicken, olives and baby sweetcorn. Already sitting in the fridge waiting to be put in the oven - easy tea ftw.

I think I'd want both, but have bought a few other bits of kitchen porn lately

Tonight we've got more pork and chorizo meatballs, not sure what with though, I quite fancy a bit of mash.
