Venison steak, mushrooms, tomatoes, potato wedges. It's a treat for me and the other half but primarily a treat for Very Tall Lodger who did two very long shifts (one until 6am) then got called in for an early shift for his other job at the local pub, although they'd failed to text him the info as to when he was working earlier this week. They're a bit shit on the informing him about his shifts front. Actually they're always totally shit about remembering to tell him when he's working and then they ring him at the last minute.

A typically schizophrenic Guyanese cook-up. Oxtail and beans, chicken curry, roti, chow mein, saltfish fritters, metagee, ribs... and a ginormous lasagne. With a total of five desserts (between ten!) to follow, includine banoffee pie, summer pudding and a unbelievably rich chocolate cake.

I overate unsurprisingly, coming back with the obligatory doggy-sack. And now my belly is pulling down my eyelids.
