I made a prawn curry last night, and tarka daal - I have to say that I seem to have got the knack of that daal dish now, when it turns out the way it did last night it's one of the best things I cook.

Tonight it’s new potatoes, asparagus, carrots, sugar snap peas & quorn roast.

We had been given some road kill venison so I made a stew. OH says it’s too hot for stew so now it will be called venison pasta sauce and served with a side salad instead

I fancied a bit of change from my usual bolognese so I'm doing this one:

Bolognese Sauce Recipe

which has pork and bacon added to the usual stuff. Tastes good so far. I had some proper chicken stock that I'd done after a roast so that's given it a bit more flavour. Added Worcester Sauce because that's the law. And fried everything in butter instead of oil.
