Last night we had a curry, I tried a chicken shatkora which was lush. Dunno about tonight, something cheap.
Chicken stew is in the slow cooker....pearl barley, parsnip, soffrito, garlic, chicken breast, baby potatoes, stock and a rub that was given to me by the manager of a hot ribs restaurant...hadnt used the spices before, they tasted pretty good, with lots of brown sugar.

essential in lasagne/bologneseSoffrito is easier to write than 'carrots, celery and onion' - the holy trinity of Italian style cooking innit. I wasnt being posh, I use them as a base for most sauces and stews.
