What's for tea tonight? (#8)

We had a takeaway on Saturday night: lamb palak, chicken dhansak, motor paneer, aloo gobi, pialu rice & a tandoori roti.
There was enough for last night too, with the addition of some fresh rice.

It was going to be roast chicken etc. tonight, but the chicken is off
So ribeye steak, roasted new potatoes, mushrooms & asparagus instead.

I had a really nice burger and chips in the pub earlier so snacks tonight. The shop didn't have anything I wanted so I think I've ended up with garlic bread, Camembert and crisps.

I had cheeseburger & chips and about a third of someone else's chicken, goat's cheese, beetroot & mushroom salad for lunch so don't need a massive tea. Got a spicy chicken roll in the fridge from fairshare but I might just have fruit & yoghurt and a cuppa.

Made spaghetti and meatballs on Saturday, today is day three. Meatballs were a mix of pork and beef mince, toasted fennel seeds, fried grated onion, breadcrumbs, milk, parmesan. The marinara sauce was done separately (four cloves of garlic with chopped onion, two cans of tomatoes, passata, mixed herbs, a little sugar - to curb the tartness- and cream.) I served with fried polenta and garlic bread today, with grated cheddar on top.

Well the food was fun. We had bubblegum flavoured vodka cocktails that arrived smoking, in a skull bottle.

And a dessert called Cherry Blossom that featured a tree made from chocolate and candy floss, also smoking. Like this:

All utterly unnecessary, but amusing.
M-I-L behaved herself reasonably well.

Was just gonna ask (from your previous post and checking out the restaurant link) what you had for your main. Hope you all enjoyed it.

Yes thanks, it was lovely. We'll go back, just the two of us ;)
We shared the veggie dum sum basket, plus some wild mushroom spring rolls with truffle sour cream, then I had the shiitake mushroom and chilli bean noodles and some bbq asparagus.

Last of the marinara and meatballs with fried polenta, fried halloumi, parmesan, with a salad of roast tomatoes, rocket, avocado, olive oil and balsamic. Looked really pretty on the plate. Zebra chocs (posh chocs from the TB in Tesco) and tea for dessert. No wine till Friday.

The plan is mushroom risotto and grilled chicken.
We currently have no hot water and Mr Looby has begged me not to cook if it isn't fixed because I'm messy.
I've got no idea what plan b is.

You can wash up with cold water. Or boil the kettle and top the bowl up with it to make hot water.

Last night we had a curry, I tried a chicken shatkora which was lush. Dunno about tonight, something cheap.
