Fish and houmous go really well together.
Not too bad. A fair bit of doing different things in different pans (boiling lentils, boiling rice, marinading veg) but nothing actually complicated iyswim. And totes worth the faff. Was it faffy? I've never made one either.
I've got my weekend at home for ages. Making stuff. Just started of a sough dough sponge (only baked bread once and that was with a mix). My other half has left me a shed load of carrots that were almost turned so they are becoming a soup. Maybe some flap jacks as well and got 20 pints of turbo cider to bottle.
Going to tandoori style chicken as the last one was lush and been thinking about it all week whilst in my bunkhouse. Got some pre marinated lamb chops and going to do a big pot of dahl. Tempted to do the lamb kebabs Thimble Queen suggested, but think that's enough food and it would only be eating them.
Ohhh you've just made me think of two delicious carrot things!

And there's a carrot based spicy salad type thing my mum used to make but I can't find a recipe for it. I'm really craving my mum's food atm
That sounds interesting. Although sod making the almond milk. That's a fair bit of ball ache and the results were no better then the shop bought stuff.
I'm still pretty basic really, but although I've got aim at is indian takeaways and lower cost resterants, so fortunatly I don't have so high to aim.
I normally cook by eye and taste as well unless I'm trying something totally new which uses ingredients I'm not familiar with or in very different ways.
Mmmmm pate
I find the Ottolenghi one foolproof and delicious.I'm doing a veggie paella. It's been a while since I attempted one. I used to be able to cook a really good paella, but when it comes to doing a veggie one I struggle a bit.
Roasted salty and chilli pork belly strips and (also roasted) courgettes, red onons, peppers and cherry tomatoes.
I've never noticedI love pate, but it makes my wee smell weird.
Do you stoop down and sniff your wee or something?I love pate, but it makes my wee smell weird.
It was pretty niceThat sounds really really nice!
I've never noticed

I never get down and sniff to see if my asparagus wee smells funny either. Always wondered about that. It's similar to asparagus wee stench - quite strong and proteiny. But then my kidneys are a bit fucked, so it might just be me leaking protein, although it only happens with pate.
