What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Nothing.

I have this recurring problem when I cycle to work that I need something reasonably substantial before I set off home, or I just don't have the energy to get up the hill, but then it's a bit much having tea as well, and whatever I have in the office is usually not very healthy. I've never quite known what to do about this - taking another meal in with me is not going to happen really.

So I basically had the other half of my sandwich from lunch, 3 satsumas and a load of biscuits.

iona - I mince 3 garlic cloves and fry gently in a little bit of oil, then add a tub of mascarpone and stir until smooth, add a handful (or two if you fancy) of grated parmesan, and when that's melted in, chop some fresh spinach and chuck that in for a few mins.

This is optional but fucking well lush - add the juice of half a fresh lemon towards the end. Thins out the sauce and adds an amazing note of freshness that brings out the spinach and works against the clagginess of the sauce :)

I cooked this ^ tonight much as above and my Lord, it was bloody amazing. with pasta and fried chicken. Thanks Soj!!!

Last night before Im back to the UK so as befits tradition I cook tonight. Noodles with garlic, lemon grass, ginger, chilli, coconut milk, red pepper, zucchini, fish sauce, onion and prawns. The prawns here are always called lobster tails (or maybe they are lobster tails they are massive).

Hey nice one Cheesypoof ! Did you use lemon juice in the end? It's such an easy meal to make isn't it?

Well, I'm round me Dad's after work, and very skint indeed, so we're on the LG tom and basil sauce wot's in the cupboard, with fusilli, black olives, and shedloads of mature cheddar on top.

I had to take my daughter to the orthodontist so we used two bus ticket vouchers for Maccy D's - Big Mac and fries for me and a chicken burger and fries for her - and shared a crunchie McFlurry for pudding
Got my son a micro burger to even things out :D which he's doing with some oven chips.
He's pissed me right off this week though so he can stick his pudding up his arse

It was :)

Think I got the recipe from colacubes, added an extra tin of mixed beans this time

I bought some bulgar wheat the other day and I've seen you can make vegan chilli with it so I'm gonna give that a go soon. Love a chilli! If you've got time could you or cola post the recipe?

Our tea was well fit btw. Proper zingy. My lips are still tingling!
