What's for tea tonight? (#8)

A dollop of something that has been in the fridge for a few days: a chicken, celeriac and chick pea affair with spices.

It's ok, but I could have done a better job with the spices, and maybe thrown some coconut or more garlic in.

It was my first attempt at cooking with dried chick peas.

Lasagne for us tonight - that's if the thing I took out of the freezer is ragu, it might be chilli con carne.
I really should label these things, I always think I'll remember, but I never do

I used to have that problem when I went through a period of making soup in bulk. Could never remember what soup it was - beyond 'orange soup', 'green soup', etc. :D

Going to be virtuous tonight - a nectarine, couple of tangerines, a plum and some ryvita.

I'm just waiting for my wash load to finish and then we're off into town to get both the kids haircut and then to the nice chinese for mixed meat noodle soups/stewed noodles.
They're massive so we'll share two of those between us and get some ribs or something, too  so actual dinner will prob just be toasted crumpets with whatever we fancy and some plums.

Yeah I think pretty much everything I can cook is based on them. I walked right past a massive bag for 2 quid in Lidl, too.

''Ooh that's good value,'' I thought, walking on obliviously into an onionless void of apocalyptic emptiness. :(
This harrowing tale has reached its conclusion. My existential onion crisis has been averted. 5kgs for two quid in Lidl. It was like ''Touching The Void'' there for a bit, but with onions.

Have had some fab meals this weekend, starting with chicken curry ramen on Friday, with seaweed, beansprouts and a seasoned egg, in Kokoro ramen bar (it was only €11.50 with huge portions). Yesterday's graduation dinner could only call for one thing: spaghetti and meatballs!! We had that at Toscana, Dublin, a really nice family run place (excuse my camera phone). Today I cooked mackerel with lemon, and boiled potatoes and beans.

Prosecco!! And red wine!! And crisps!!

And then later, pasta with wild mushroom sauce, black olives, and lashings of mature cheddar
Erm. We decided to finish off the port after the wine. Then hit the rum after the pasta. Saturday was a bit of a wipe out!

Yeah I think pretty much everything I can cook is based on them.
Yup, I use them in almost everything! Glad to hear the crisis was averted eventually ;)

Tonight's tea will be veggie meatballs in a bollock naked sauce, with spaghetti, and lashings of fresh parmesan. Then cake. We are going to fucking explode soon.

Fast day - massive salad with seared scallops for me and the boy and a chicken thigh from work for the girl. They'll also have crumpets with *something* with/after, too. Chocolate rice cake thins and melon for pudding.
