What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Something from the freezer, hopefully some Aldi tempura battered basa fillets if there are any.
Steamed new potatoes & carrots to go with it.

Following a recipe & having 'Superfood Mexican Jumble with Feta & Jalopeno'.

Ingredients are:
Hazlenuts
Quinoa
Veg stock
Cous Cous
Coriander
Jalopenos
Red Pepper
Pumpkin Seeds
Feta Cheese
Sweetcorn
Cumin
Lime

Having this...I feel the need for a positive food boost. Yesterday was a veggie hot dog & 3 veggie sausage rolls.

Took some fish out of the freezer for tonight. Will have it with potatoes and whatever veg we've got in. It's payday next weds so we're going to be eating lots of cupboard and freezer meals for the next week.

Unidentified meat from the freezer. One is probably a Barnsley chop I remember freezing, the other might be a pork chop. With new potatoes in butter, mustard and chives & broccoli.

Can't really afford it but I am going to go to the Toll Gate spoons for their steak club. Not been in a while. Anyone else at a loose in is more than welcome to join me but my finances dictate just a nosh & the drink that goes with it. Maybe a pint on top.

Food that's far too heavy for a hot day, the weather was crap earlier.

Anyway, we're having philly stuffed chicken breasts, roasted veg and new potatoes. We also have strawberry trifle. [emoji41]

Marinaded beef steak an potatoes. Now I can't legitimately raise a protest over this- you are getting steak lad! and some amazing potato! Do you want pasta served with butter and black pepper for tea- no, no you don't.

But it backs me up something rotten. I've already eaten half the steak anyway. I take mine so raw you just showed it the pan.

Might need to go chemists tomorrow for some shite-faster pills. Last time I hit the steak and bread\potato I was baking a turd for days. It was hell on the way out I can tell you.

Enjoy your repasts people.

A repeat of last night's almost fish pie, which worked better than deserved:
1 pyrex dish,
most of a bag of frozen cauliflower & broccoli cheese,
half a bag of frozen diced fish,
halved cherry tomatoes,
a generous sprinkle of herbes de provence,
a drained tin of butter beans.
Shove the lot in the oven, stir roughly halfway through cooking, and mop up with bread if you must.

Made a chicken and tofu pho, served with rice noodles. It was fit. Strawberries, low fat yoghurt and flaxseeds for dessert, followed by rum and champagne truffles with a cup of tea.

I ended up having a salad of avocado, kidney beans, sweetcorn, carrots, red pepper, jalopeno peppers, spinach, feta cheese and olive oil & lime dressing and fresh coriander. Plus wholemeal pita bread & Thatchers cider eaten at 8pm in the garden.

I like to eat later, it's normally about 7ish. If I eat before I then need supper.

this evening I'm having whatever they decide to put back for me at work...plus anything I can raid from the fridge and the store..I has they keys!

Unidentified meat turned out to be some rough, fatty ham my Mum brought up and I shoved in the freezer rather than bin in front of her. Binned it. We shared the Barnsley chop and had a burger each.

Tonight is cheese and beans on a bed of oven baked potato.
