What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I don't know. I didn't sort anything for dinner as we were supposed to be having lunch out. That ended up being a bloody Burger King because we had no time. I couldn't stop on the way home from Portsmouth because I had a Welsh dresser hanging out of the back of my car and now the supermarkets are shut. [emoji35]

Roast loin of pork (TB). You should have seen the look of disappointment when I disclosed that it came without skin and we will be crackleingless tonight :(

That aside, it's 1.6kg so I'm going to try really hard not to eat it all tonight and maybe make some sarnies for work tomorrow out of it.

it's rolled in sage and roasted with squash, onions and parsnips. with garlic and rosemary roast spuds, steamed carrots and greens and some fried leeks.

Sainsbos curry last night.

Going to the market in a bit to do the weekly shop so tea tonight could be anything :)

Still need to report back about wedding food. It was AMAZING.

Had a really good Caesar salad with chicken and bacon in the Great North Wood in West Norwood yesterday lunchtime. They forgot to put all the kids orders through though, so lost serious points for failing to feed hungry children for an hour. They gave out some free drinks to say sorry, which was nice, but not much help to starving nippers or the adults who had to appease them.

Did a big roast for dinner but after all the pints and big lunch didn't make much headway on the pulled pork, crackling, roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, garlic, aspagers, Yorkshire Puds, broccoli and gravy. It'll keep for wraps/Spanish Nomlette.

Tonight is leftover curry & rice & naan.

This weekend was just me and my son so on Friday we had herring milts in anchovy butter on toasted tiger bread for him and a seeded panini for me.
On Saturday we had cheese on toast (with ketchup, red onion and worcester sauce) on the last lot of rolls, with some avocado and last night we had spiced smoked haddock and mussel chowder.
Tonight we're having chicken wings which have been in a spring onion/ginger/garlic/5-spice/lemon/maple syrup/soy sauce marinade, with potato and chive salad and asparagus and tenderstem broccoli. Strawberries with greek yoghurt and a bit of sugar for pudding.

Either butternut squash, orange and ginger soup or szechuan orange lamb stir-fry depending on my degree of what can I be arsed with when I get home.
The soup is already made so I suspect it will win!
