What's currently good on the BBC iPlayer?

I didn't follow the Shamima Begum story but this is unreal.

I watched it earlier.
I just wanted to give her a good telling off for being so stupid but then a big hug and tell her I would make it all ok somehow.

I commented on the thread about her about the importance of her friend who left the UK first, she'd just lost her mother, and was extremely vulnerable, and how there hadn't been much / anything?written about these relationships in her close friendship group, which seemed to me to be key. That comes out quite clearly here.

Cornish Shorts. As the name suggests, a series of short films made and set in Cornwall, notable for featuring dialogue in Cornish.

Probably of more interest to me as someone local, albeit over the border in Devon, but worth a view if you share an interest in the county or independent film in general.

All six episodes of The Gold are up. Just finished the second, seems.good so far and it's got a good cast. I don't remember anything about what happened other than Kenny Noye being in the news for that other thing.

Always believe in your soul
You've got the power to know
You're indestructible…

There was a really good documentary on Pegasus Spyware on BBC4 last night which should be up on there. Absolutely batshit mental stuff. Everyone interested in data privacy should watch this. Apparently 14 European nations have invested in it. You can guarantee the UK is one of them.

TBH this really deserves it's own thread.

It's up OK, cheers for the tip, sounds interesting, will watch later.

Just finished this. Well worth it I thought. Anything with Sean Harris is worth a look and he's really good in it.

Currently watching Rain in My Heart, the documentary about alcoholics in Kent. Incredibly sad and really grim in parts, but still very insightful.

Yeah was really good. Watched a few episodes round a mates, so finished off tonight. Sean Harris really carries off the quiet menacing roles well doesn’t he. Possible setup for a second series too

Took me ages to remember what I knew the redhead cop from - she was the teenage runaway Carly Kirk in Line of Duty series 2

This is both fascinating and heartbreaking.
Looks at his crimes and the survivors, but also the huge amount of good he did for black society in America and then the fall out when his crimes came to light and were taken seriously.
