What will you do with your free copy of The Sun this Thursday?

Actual contents.
Did you poop in the tube dear boy?

I'm assuming the paper will not be addressed, just shoved through with all the usual pizza/kebab shit? Anyhow, the private corporation that has taken the contract from the newspaper conveniently has plenty of "drop-off points" where the unwanted rag can be returned.

Quoted because a 'like' doesn't seem quite enough and it hadn't quite sunk through my thick skull yet that junk mail delivered by the newly privatised Royal Mail could be returned via their dedicated drop-off points. :)

(tbf the real reason is that is hasn't quite sunk in that it's now a private company, probably because the amount of time I spend shaking my fist at the sky is already quite unhealthy)

mine got used in a couple of ways - soaking up cat puke (note: not the *best* material for the job), and collecting potato peelings. not at the same time.

in the bin atm, but if the stuff about freepost/RM charges gets clarified, I may well don my marigolds and strong stomach, and get parcelling...

Get the sun out of bin and post it back to them complete with cat honk and potato peelings

I have put mine aside so when I have a little time I can read it in the hope of gaining a greater understanding of the world I live in and see if they can offer me some kind of insight into how the imponderable problems in the world can be resolved peacefully for the benefit of the majority rather than the by an unspeakable act of war.

He's a politician, so it isn't in the least bit surprising that he had his picture taken holding that shit paper. Trying to court the millions of votes of people who read that rag, at the risk of possibly losing some in Merseyside.

No. He's appeared like a wanker. Clegg, well I wasn't going to vote for the Lib Dems anyway. Labour don't need to pose with shitrags for picture opportunities to win votes. It's only damaging that they do and the factsome strategist thinks it is beneficial, is pure IN the Thick of it.

I did flick through mine before binning it.
I noticed, no page 3, and a paucity of anything resembling "news" ..

Might be interesting to see if it does increase their circulation as I assume that was the aim.

I was thinking the same after flicking through it. A content-free collection of nationalistic bullshit that would have embarrassed most BNP members. I can see more people being put off by it than tempted to become customers.

If you're going to do such a marketing exercise, why not post a regular edition of the paper? Are they actually ashamed of their own product? And if so, how could they think this would be a better alternative?

The aim is to shove adverts under more noses using patriotic England football blah. It's not designed to increase the number of people buying it. They might pick up a few more people who didn't know the Sun before hand, kids. But if you weren't already buying the Sun, you're not likely to now are you?

There's something wrong with that Freepost address. E98 1XY is slap bang in the middle of the old News International site which is boarded up and being demolished atm, redevelopment into "London Dock" residential, bars and restaurants underway. 3 Thomas More Square are offices just off Thomas More Street, a short walk away but definitely not that postcode.

It's the address given on the sun's website under "contact us"
