I hummus, therefore I am ...
Cake - before 9 am. ?
Lavazza espresso made in a cafetiere very strongly. 2nd cup about due. no cake to go with it tho.
yeah, a wee slice of lemon drizzle or honey and ginger homemade does the trick.Cake - before 9 am. ?
I've had my Aeropress for a few months now, best £20 I've spent in a long, long time. Easy to use, easy to clean, never makes a bad brew. Couldn't be happier with it, so much so that I've already bought 2 more as gifts for friends/family (whom were both equally as impressed as I've been with mine). Espresso grinds can be somewhat difficult to plunge in the Aeropress so if you're weak/frail I'd hire some muscle to make your coffee for youSame for me and now I can't wait for the aeropress I just ordered to arrive. Expresso ground coffee in a caetiere is crap.
Just bought one of these. Should keep me going for a bit.I never bothered to click on that!
Why is it called Starter Pack?
Yep, I'll get that next.
This is a great starter pack for those wanting to experience our new range of blends and my favourite single origin at the moment. There are 5 x 250g packs in total:
- Jailbreak Espresso Blend
- Blake Espresso Blend
- Kicker Espresso Blend
- Jabberwocky Espresso blend
- Brazil Fazenda Cachoeria
Just bought one of these. Should keep me going for a bit.
The blends are good too - I'm drinking the Jailbreak at home and the Blake Espresso blend at work and they're both really good. I'll keep an eye on what they've got in these starter packs in future. They're a good deal.I'm on the Brazilian - so far so good.
Took it back to the office and everybody who tried it thought it tasted like the milk had gone off.

Once again, this coffee is showcasing the brilliant simplicity of brewing coffee with the humble cafetiere. The heavy body enhanced by this method perfectly compliments the intense nuttyness of this coffee. A silky mouthfeel brings to mind ground nut oil, and finishes with a chocolatey sweetness that gives great balance. Its time to set aside the fancy chemex, aeropress, the mindboggling siphon, and dust off the cafetiere to enjoy a really solid cup of coffee.
In the cup - Nutella on brown toast, with ground hazelnuts, almonds and walnut oil. Lots of nuts!
If you prefer to brew espresso style coffee at home, either in a percolator or fancy machine please choose the Guatemalan Los Cerritos Espresso from the webshop. The espresso roast profile will give you more of the caramelised sugars needed to balance the intensity of this brew method.
Well these Hasbean starter packs are definitely the way forward for me. I'm drinking the Jabberwocky blend now and it's the pick of the bunch so far. Delicious.
Top tip from quoad there.
Much coarser than espresso. That's interesting. I may well put an order in.
Does anyone know what type of grind I'd get for an Aeropress? Fine / Expresso?
Much coarser than espresso.
And don't use espresso blends in an aeropress.
The filter option looks reasonable - but make sure it isn't ground that fine either.
