What are you having for breakfast?

I can see the liquorice would have taken little cooking time farmerbarleymow but how long do you normally spend cooking brekker ? I can barely manage throwing granola into a bowl. Respect, mind :)
It doesn't take long to prep the veg and cook it, and then heat everything else up. I'm currently working through some fresh shallots - have some packs of diced shallots in the freezer which makes it even quicker.

Not sure whether this is going to end up as breakfast or brunch or lunch, but I am about to start making a chicken cacciatore/chasseur type thing for me, and a similar tomato based veggie sausage type casserole for OH. With potato and courgette mash.

EDIT: It took a while to prep and cook so ended up as brunch, no problem as OH is off work tonight so in no rush to go to bed, it was fucking lush. His was with quorn sausages, mine was with skin on bone in chicken thighs and I finished cooking mine uncovered in the oven to crisp the skin. We also had a bit of baguette with butter each to mop up left over sauce from our respective meals, and a glass of merlot each (it's technically a late tea time according to OH's work/sleep schedule! We don't eat together as often as we would like, so when he has a night off and I don't have to be anywhere I try to make a proper deal of a meal together at whatever time of day it happens) Am currently feeling full and happy - meal was delicious and appreciated and well worth the effort.

Hopefully a handful of nuts, I lost half a stone due to depression, stress is attacking my guts as well.
I've had tests, which were negative for blood, I knew they would be. Should ring doctor, but she talked about colonoscopy.

I think I'm going to have some mushrooms on toast in a bit. I might have scrambled eggs too, not decided yet. Definitely mushrooms and toast though!

OH has got some leek and potato soup that I made recently, he's far more into soup than I am and he loves my leek and potato so I'm going to let him finish that, once he's heated that and is sat down eating I will go and get on with cooking something for myself.

A test of my squeamishness ...
I spilled half of my weighed coffee beans on my disgusting floor mat - OK, only about 25p's worth, but they'd been shipped half way around the world ...
So I blew the dust off and proceeded to grind them.
I make my coffee with boiling water in any case ...

5 second rule with coffee beans ?

Sorry to hear you're not having a good time, panpete :(....phone your doctor and get yourself booked in for a colonoscopy. It's always better to deal with these things head on. It will take a small amount of time but the relief of knowing either way may ease a small part of your mental wellbeing.
Take care of yourself, sweetheart :)🌹

Go for it.....what doesn't kill you and all that :D

2 mugs of tea - one black with honey, the 2nd with milk because I remembered that we had some.
Marmite on toast, 2 slices, which I had to eat standing up in the middle of the sitting room because Jakey was going nuts trying to snatch it out of my hands and yelling at the top of his voice. I dunno what it is about cats and marmite but they love the smell of the stuff. Too salty for them though, I don't let him have any.

But there's early - say, 4am - and then there's literally still the night before. 2am isn't early, it's late. What time do you go to bed?
I went to bed around five ish for a few hours and woke up around ten. Slept for about 11 hours yesterday so that's enough for one day.
