What are you having for breakfast?

:hmm:

I'm still hooked on my homemade wholemeal bread with peanut butter - thankfully I've resisted jam of late.
It goes so amazingly well with coffee.

I need to come up with something to eat at work now that I have to eat 3 times a day for my diabetes meds ... - perhaps back to my soft seeded wholemeal bap, peanut butter, half a block of tofu and cherry tomatoes - at least for a while ...
I don't drink coffee at work - at least once in the past it almost turned me into the axe-murdering IT support from hell

I would like to think I could make the change to an Okinawa style bowl of miso and veggie soup ...
I think I will be looking to the Mediterranean diet for at least part of the time.

Another Japanese style breakfast - rice and miso soup with spring onion, a chopped omelette and some pickled yellow cucumber (not actually Japanese though, I think they were Thai? ETA: Vietnamese)

I'm getting into rice for breakfast. I'm a bit tired of greasy shit and wheat and sugar.

As a relative newcomer I'm obviously not going to trawl through 614 pages, but has anyone else done long-term breakfast in bed?

We've done 24 years now. A lovey-dovey thing from when we first got together in 1995 continues into middle age.

Thought when Mrs [62] was pregnant with our daughter 12 years ago that would be the end, but no. We take it in turns to make it and use a big M&S hamper tray that I won in a works do raffle back in 1999.

We tried being normal for a couple of days back in 2008 but couldn't stand it.

And, no, we don't get crumbs in the sheets.

We always did that on the weekends and we did get crumbs in the bed :D

Half a pound of tomatoes. Two litres of water.

Seeded flatbreads with cheese. More water.

You need a thread for "what random meals are you having at odd times of the day today" really...

Meanwhile I had summer pudding made with home grown blackcurrants, plus yoghurt. It was quite nice but the filling is a bit sharp  Might be better with cream or ice cream to take the edge off.
