I get to start a WC Semi-Final thread? Furthest Wales have ever gone

Is this the formality everyone seems to assume (ie Holland)?

Bookies have Forlan 7/1 for first goal behind 3 Dutch players and "no goalscorer" and I think Uruguay are 6/1 to win in 90 mins

I know Suarez is out, and Fucile. But they are unbeaten, and look to have a mix of stylish players and hard-nuts.

I think they might do it you know, the Dutch have only shown (admittedly very impressively) in the second half v Brazil

I have to say these semis (and whichever Final permutation they throw up) are really, really fascinating. 2 sides who have never won it, Uruguay for the first time in 60 years really, and a German side the likes of which anyone too young for 70, 72 or 74 has never seen

The Dutch have much more than Uruguay all over the pitch. Uruguay haven't shown me much of anything in any of the games they have played. Not exactly had the most impressive opposition to play either.

The Dutch have quality all over the field and should make light work of them.

They don't have someone as good as Forlan, Sneijder excepted, or who plays the same role as him. RVP has been largely ineffectual, Klaas jan Huntelaar is shite. .

I get your point but Sneijder and Forlan (in different ways, clearly) are blatantly the 2 best players out there

Holland should have enough to win it, but they are both teams capable of spectacularly self destructing, so it's not a foregone conclusion, and I wouldn't even attempt to guess the likely score.

Fixed odds are normally a rip imo but that's a very decent price; I mean, I think Holland will win, but Uruguay have shown they are a good team and it's a knockout game.
