“The media should be embarrassed and humiliated and keep its mouth shut and just listen for a while,” Mr. Bannon said during a telephone call.
“I want you to quote this,” Mr. Bannon added. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”
Mr. Bannon, who rarely grants interviews to journalists outside of Breitbart News, the provocative right-wing website he ran until last August, was echoing comments by Mr. Trump this weekend, when the president said he was in “a running war” with the media and called journalists “among the most dishonest people on earth.”

The reprimand came after Fox 29's "Good Day Philadelphia" co-host Alex Holley asked Mike Jerrick and two guests on set what Conway meant when she said "alternative facts" earlier in the week.

I don't make those types of posts...at least not for a very long time now . The mainstream media however are scum . They deserve no respect whatsoever . The tragedy is its the wrong bunch of people pointing this out . But it doesn't make it any less true . I really hope people are taking it on board . It's true they were wholly partisan, wholly corrupt and addicted to lies . True they were so out of touch they simply didn't get why so many people were angry and disillusioned with the elite they were shilling for . That's all true and it needs saying in the US .
There was a distinctly unhealthy intertwining of media and the centre of power . A mutual backscratching exercise . That's over now . It's a good thing .
They themselves have gone overboard in a series of attempts to delegitimise the election . Whether it was gleefully publishing nude pictures of trumps wife..slut shaming pretty much..or shrieking he's a Russian agent into water sports . They won't say anything. They'll raise prices. I was just chopping some vegetables and noticed the label...."Product Of Mexico." Really a help to the average person for all imports to increase in price. The US exports a lot of stuff to Mexico. The labels on many products in the supermarket are in English and Spanish. Mexico will retaliate and Mexicans will pay more too. The poor will be hurt the most. American consumers will end up paying for this idiot's wall.
