Well the Washington Post found no evidence that the allegation wasn't true, just as there is no definitive evidence of a Russian role in 'hacking' the election whatever that means today.
Where did I do that? I said that the revelation, the veracity of which I did not pass comment on, surprised no-one as it was entirely in keeping with her corrupt, venal reputation. I stand by that.
Except for the 'standard' grubby stuff like paying for Chelsea's wedding out of the charity foundation etc.
The argument was actually that Trump made offers and promises (that he obviously has broken or will break) to sections of the population that Clinton took for granted, assumed would vote for her, made no effort to attract and was actually seen to insult. People voted in their own perceived interests as they usually do.
The Clinton campaign by contrast spent the time that it could have spent doing that in Martha's Vineyard with billionaires.

Maintaining my original position is back pedalling? I still wouldn't bet money it's not true.Oh fuck off, the Lance Armstrong backpeddling award goes to maomao.
You stated it
Clearly you believed it to be true otherwise you wouldn't have brought it up. Quit trying to weasel out from under your own words.

Surely one of the massive mistakes made by the democrats and the media was to encourage the Trump - give him lots of time and attention - back when he was seen as a clown, before he even won the nomination.
Thinking that "It was in the best interest of Clinton, and therefore the Democratic Party, that Trump was the Republican presidential nominee.." etc. T
WikiLeaks Reveals DNC Elevated Trump to Help Clinton
Agreed. I do wonder what the school level history books will say as to how this man became president though, but suppose that just depends on who'll be writing them. And I don't see how refighting this election is relevant to this thread, which is, lest we forget, called "the trump presidency".

On Politico Eric Trump: Syria missile strikes prove there's no Trump-Russia connection
Oh dear Eric you were just meant to let the smoke screen drift out there. You start blurting stuff out and it just makes it look like a wag the dog kinda thing.
Hell, according to the idiot in chief it goes further, even those who voted (and campaigned) for Clinton are Trump supporters by proxy if they criticised Clinton.According to claims by two Clintonites within the last few pages, before this discussion kicked off, it lies with anyone who didnt vote for Clinton.
I genuinely think Clinton is so unpopular is because of 30 years of allegations from Whitewater to Benghazi, and people never stop to wonder why they choose to believe unsubstantiated stories like Chelsea's Clinton foundation wedding without bothering to check if the allegations have any merit
Perhaps, though I think her prominent support did as much damage during the campaign by painting such an absurdly over the top image of her that she could never hope to live up to it.
I mean at once stage they were going around telling everyone that she was the most qualified person ever to run for office, and that her campaign was the very pinnacle of competence; but in the next breath they were saying she couldn't handle having more than one phone at a time and all their emails got leaked.
There was an element of hubris and over confidence, but that gave way to a genuine confusion, how do you fight a candidate who's got no substance whatsoever.
I'm confused,
Washington-area public schools that normally receive blocks of tickets for as many as 4,000 children have yet to hear from the White House, according to representatives for school systems in the District of Columbia; Arlington, Va.; and Alexandria, Va. Several groups representing military families, who have accounted for as many as 3,000 guests in recent years, also said they had yet to be contacted.
Members of Congress have not received word from the White House about whether they will get tickets to distribute to their constituents. One aide to a Republican lawmaker said White House officials “seem to be a bit behind schedule.”
He did it better though. In midst of an argument with a false flagger & instead of carrying on with 'but not on his own people' .Funnily enough, The Wire writer and Clinton supporter David Simon made the exact same argument a week ago.
