redistricting leads gerrymandering giving republican majorities in statehouses letting them bring in punitive voter ID laws.

Oh my god, you're finding a way of blaming Clinton for not doing enough to stop republican voter suppression.

The fact that she was interviewed last week, spoke at length about her election loss and why she thought it happened, and didn't include voter suppression suggests she doesn't consider it that big a deal. Mind you, she didn't give "Hillary Clinton's crappy campaign" as a reason either, so she may have some way to go toward recognizing the real causes.

Not only are she and the Democrats guilty of not doing enough, they're guilty of doing sweet fuck all to stop that GOP bullshit.

Christ you're wasted on Urban, clearly your calling is running a national presidential campaign in the states. Don't stop to pack! Go! Follow in the steps of Louise Mench.

You're the one who is channelling Louise Mensch, who of course is very smart.

LETS FIND ANOTHER WAY TO HANG THIS ON CLINTON!

True but that's a much larger issue for the democratic party as a whole. It is in disarray, it's local campaigns aremess, they don't get people out for mid terms and minor elections.

And in two posts time, Yossarian will explain how that fault lies solely with Clinton.

The states where the Sanders campaign and trade unionists begged Clinton to campaign.

Oh for fucks sake more Monday morning quarterbacking

We need more ways to hang Clinton's loss on Clinton?

I guess Bernie Sanders might not have concealed having pneumonia from those around him, tried to power through it, and ended up rambling about his opponent's supporters being a "basket of deplorables..."

It was Trump bullshit; but before he even became the candidate, 18 other candidates also did sweet fuck all to stop it, by that logic.

But Clinton gets all the blame.

Calling your potential voters a bunch of racists always a winning strategy.

Are you claiming Russian Influence in this election is a conspiracy theory?
Mench is a conspiracy theorist and testing the adage about a stopped clock, and just because she wanted to work for the clinton campaign and someone on board the campaign liked her idea, is proof of fuck all

Aren't you Irish why are you using an Americanism like that at all let alone in such a transparently dishonest way?

Because we're talking about an American election and therefore an American colloquium is suitable. It's also the perfect analogy, because you're re-running Sanders V Clinton on the thread ABOUT THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY

Are you saying I can't use it because I'm Irish? Cause that's pretty fucking racist.

Trump got elected, because just the right amount of suckers in just the right places, fell for his bullshit.

All those people who didn't want foreign military interventionism, didn't want to lose their Medicare, who wanted a wall paid for by the Mexican government, etc etc etc.

Blame can only ever travel down, never up with you people.

If she said she hand pneumonia, they would have had a field day anyway, she was screwed either way.

It wasn't rambling it was a specific claim. And considering the rise in hate crimes since Trump's presidency are you denying it's true?

There still is no concrete proof of that.

I also would like proof about how 'Russian hackers' 'influenced' the election. I'm not ruling it out entirely, but how exactly is it supposed to have happened? Especially since thanks to 8den we now know that there was nothing in the emails, that there is no proof of Russian involvement on anyway, of any significance.

At least Clinton had the excuse of being ill, her campaign surrogates on the other hand...

How many times are we going to have to do this: will it stop when Trump eventually leaves office - or will it continue in armchair rehashes, forever?

To repeat: Clinton made mistakes in the campaign; but the ultimate responsibility for an election win, lies with the people who voted for the winning candidate.

Out of curiosity what would you consider "concrete" proof.
If they had actual proof such as unauthorised access to servers etc I suspect they would have been shouting it from the rooftops. As it is we are supposed to take various officials word for it. Consequently I remain sceptical.

According to claims by two Clintonites within the last few pages, before this discussion kicked off, it lies with anyone who didnt vote for Clinton.

Mistakes? She ran one of the worst campaigns imaginable in her advantageous position.

Likely there's no cure for it: it seems that playing 'what if', wrt the 2016 election, is becoming as popular as playing 'what if' regarding WW2 is, for some people.

'What if Hitler actually tried to invade Britain?'

'What if Manstein had commanded on the Western Front?

'What if Hitler had forgot about Moscow, and concentrated on the Caucasus?'

It's all good for endless hours of diversion, for some.

Or who voted for Clinton, encouraged others to vote for Clinton from a public platform that includes millions, but who made the irrevocable mistake of previously criticising Mother.
