The stupidity of the anti-vaxx nutcases

"Never been on a demo" before says it all. All those horrendous things happening all over the world have never motivated them to go on one previously, but now, in the face of a pandemic that's killed 140,000 of the most vulnerable people in the country they chose to go on a demo cos they want hairdressers to be open or something.

Cunts.

Exactly this, could be a response to Griff too, these people only care when something inconveniences them, no other causes or people ever, they're not anti establishment or anti government at all

Seeing references to genocide, I've just been sent this by an old friend via email. I replied that I do not subscribe to to the notion of a scamdemic and that two of my colleagues have had Covid, a third lost her mum to it, a friend lost her mum to it, a service user who I used to support was really ill with it. He has't responded to that (we were previously talking about musical collaboration). I think we'll just stick to that. Funnily enough another mate who lives near me who is also a musician is also a Covid sceptic. We don't talk about that either.

E2a the second guy actually lost his brother to Covid and so went from being a full-on sceptic to someone who is an anti-vaxx sceptic. Crazy.

That link is totally bonkers, going on about Nuremberg trials and Whitty, Vallance etc. being charged with genocide. The bloke's Twitter has properly lost it too, you don't have to look very far down it to see anti-semitic conspiracy stuff, as well as denial that viruses even cause disease, and all sorts of complete shit. I mean, where do you even start with someone like that?

Honestly, I'm so full of hatred for them. The grinning certainty. The save the children qanon whisper.

Triggered.

"It's genocide whoop! "

Go. Fuck. Yourself.
The tragic thing is they don't realise just how fucking moronic they look to people with a functioning brain. They may well live to regret publicly stating their idiocy for the world to see in the future.

The mate who sent me the link has come back at me with the 'I'm not having the vaccine because Bill Gates'. I have provided a couple of helpful links as to why this is demonstrably nonsense and suggested that we just talk about music and leave it at that.

If I was an employer, which I am not, and someone sent me that of a candidate - no barge poll long enough, etc.

Are you aware of a point (down the rabbit hole ) that if yr friend said it that would be too far for you to carry on wanting to be mates with them?
This is not intended personally am just curious. Icouldn’t be friends with yr friend, for instance, because couldn’t respect them at all.

Qanon Annonymous podcast (utterly brilliant, btw) often has a show now and then dedicated to showing the progress of how seemingly every day people disappear down the rabit hole. They outline each social media post over a period and the escalation is incredible. I.e. month one, picture of them in a bar with friends, charity pages, minor political stuff - six months later Obama is a clone and the real one eats children. I only say as it is well worth watching how quickly/deeply he sinks, if he does indeed "progress". this will be a lot harder now that youtube nad facebook have whiped a great deal of this stuff.

I have an absolute zero tolerance for anything like that in my (albeit relatively small) friendship circle. TBH apart from here I don't do any social media, so it's much easier to avoid. A few folks in the wider circle of people I know have some hints of these positions, and I have heard of other people I know of/knew in the past who've gone that way much more.

Yes, I'm aware and have considered this. If he comes back at me with more nonsense it'll be cut my losses time.

And if it's bronwen, they come out with some disgusting shameful stuff, like asking people who's relatives have died if they're sure it was covid and "can you check if they were given xxxx in hospital" etc, really shameful shit
teqniq
Bronwen here in Cardiff? (it's not) If so this does not surprise me in the least. Haven't seen or heard of her in ages.

Where are these people when people are suffering cos of disability benefit cuts, cruel ATOS and CAPITA assessments. spycops creeping on women and snooping on murder victims' families, abuse in care homes, nurses' rubbish pay, etc, etc?

Oh yeah, they don't give a toss about other people having more to worry about than a piece of fabric to help prevent the spread of a nasty virus. Funny that.

It's just that the people most likely to suffer the brunt of this are carers, poor people, disabled and long-term ill people, the elderly and those from ethnic minorities.

I was talking about it on the other thread, but seriously, they may have come to entirely the wrong conclusion but you can't watch that sort of interview and say "these people are hopeless conspiraloons".
hmmm, not so sure tbh. just look where the dude is getting his media. grifting right wing controvesy merchants. my estimation of the times shot up when he started lambasting them!

i know what you mean though - it pays to be careful and see where in "ever bit of bullshit there is a grain of truth". trusting MSM media outright is just as foolish as the reverse. intelligent debates can be had around covid, from all angles (but when conspiracy is there, I think it's a lost cause).

What was notable to me was that they didn't really say anything concrete about what they actually thought. Some vague thing about not trusting 'MSM' (using that is a red flag imo) and 'doing your own research' but not what they really thought and why they were on the demo. They could have been slightly lockdown skeptical with some reasonable arguments, or full-on NWO/Bill Gates 5G/death camps/covid deniers/QAnon loons.
