4 for a tenner?

4?

How big are the bottles?!

standard size, 500ml. its not the cheapest obviously but it is small scale brewing.

i went to a cider place in East Sussex the other day and they were selling a beer made in someones house!!!

4 for a tenner is too expensive, simple as that.

actually mate i may be doing them a disservice here. i've googled the prices and its about £2ish a bottle, so i think the offer was either 5 or 6 for a tenner.

its still not £1 a bottle though obviously but then they aren't big brewery beers being sold in supermarkets.

Hello onket mate hows tricks?

Majestic are doing 12 Greene King IPA for £12 (500ml bottles) and I think they'll deliver for free.

Alright thanks mate, hope you are too. Cheers for the tip.

She's good, thanks. In keeping with the thread, here she is sorting me out with a beer-

She's older than that now though, she's 18 months.

If you've got to sell your wares at almost double the price of the supermarkets, you're doing it wrong: especially when you're getting tax relief on excise, as small brewers do. It's not like small breweries are a guarantee of quality, I've had some shocking beers from nanos before, not cleared or conditioned properly in particular.

Just before Christmas I nipped in to Gerry's in Soho and they had gin that was distilled in someone's house. Good luck to em, I say. I'm not a gin fan, personally.

Have had to go back to the old faithful- 6 cans of Holsten Pils for a fiver.

Can't be arsed with paying £1 for something that's 3.something.

Been really getting into my american style pale ales & IPAs at the moment, have sampled almost everything available across town and the Kernel really does the best.

It is expensive though, will head to the brewery tomorrow to get a 'cheap' case (£2.40 a bottle!) in pubs its nudging £5

there was a 4 for £6 on bottles in tescos recently, old peculiar being my favourite... can't really get any cheaper than that anywhere can you.
i found holsten pils for 99p the other day! the pennies add up.

Can't bring myself to pay that much. It's only booze, at the end of the day.

I think the most I've paid for beer was about €15 for a bottle of Westvelteren 12, from 1991, in a bar in Antwerp. It was mostly for bragging rights TBH, besides which it's less than the house wine in many London eateries these days. Fullers charge £7.50 a bottle for Brewers Reserve, which is certainly taking the piss.

It's weird how bitter is generally cheaper than lager in the pubs... but more expensive in the supermarket.

I've been drinking Wychwood recently by Hobgoblin. 3 bottles for a fiver. I can get 6 cans of Stella for £5.50.

Morrisons is 4 bottles of ale for a fiver as standard, as far as I know.

Still 6 cans of lager for a fiver in most (but not all) local shops round my way.

And of course Debowe Mochne for £1, which is outstanding value really.

ALERT ALERT Marks and Spencers is doing 6 bottles for £5 at the moment!! notmally over £2 a bottle beers. think it's some jubilee hangover thing. anyway everyone get on this.

£1.35 a 500ml bottle of Tanglefoot in Morrisons.

Is that a good deal? It's on offer at that price, anyway, instead of £1.75 or whatever it normally is. Tastes a bit like wet dog smell though, and is only 5% (I was sure Tanglefoot was supposed to be strong).

Not my favourite.

Still not got to M&S to try out rutabowa's deal.
