Well fair enough she gets into my top 10, but mainly because those are the only female singers I've ever enjoyed songs by, who I know for sure are Irish. Her position at no.7 is more testament to my ignorance about Irish music, than about the artistic quality of those on the list.

Actually the English of today are a mixture of Saxons and Jutlands, and to a much lesser extent Normans, Romans and Picts
