The all boxing thread

That Canelo one I'll always remember, simply for him kneeling next to Khan, presumably to check his head was still on his shoulders.

You have to admire Khans courage in keeping going, even after the savage knockouts he had. Admire his chin though? Not so much.

At the end of the day, whilst he was talented, he was just not quite top table material as was shown.

Watched the Prescott fight with mates, he was tall and rangey and obliterated Khan.

No one knew anything about him and I suspect that included Khan

Khan definitely got up too quickly from the first knock down but he was finished anyway I think

Recently I ended up watching a medley of Prince Naseem Hamid fights / knockouts. While he was an arrogant shit he certainly could punch. Did he eventually get beaten or retire undefeated?

I see it's going to be Canelo v ggg 3. Shame that ggg will be 40 at the time of the fight and, I'd have thought, not much chance of winning, particularly if it's in Las Vegas. Canelo is immense but... tainted meat... handpicked opponents... handpicked judges. ggg should have a perfect record or at worst all wins + one draw. FFS, Canelo almost got a draw on the judges cards against Bivol.

Just got round to watching Kamboso v Haney last night. Sounds like the lead up was pretty nasty, but bloody hell Haney is good. That old 'managing the distance' thing, he did it perfectly. How the fuck 2 of the judges had it at only a 4 round lead... I struggled to see Kamboso winning more than 2 at best (first and last perhaps).

Haney is so good he's kind of boring!

Don't think there were any slugs were there? Points jabs

Fight night, Nathan Gorman on

No idea on this one, never seen him fight

ETA

Bit quick but showing a bit of potential

Caught up with the Artur Beterbiev v Joe Smith Jr fight.
Beterbiev is an absolute beast.
18-0 now, all by KO.
Has to be Bivol next for the undisputed.

Onlookers giving it "there was no need" 😂

Plenty of need you dumb shits. Man got knocked stone cold. 🤣
I disagree. Yes he was being a complete knob, and I wonder what the catalyst was but there was no need for Francis to knock him out like that. That could have been fatal.

Really am genuinely pleased for one of my favourite fighters, Derek Chisora beating Kubrat Pulev on points.

Still think he should have one more big time fight, make a shit ton of money as then retire though.

I would quite like to watch Usyk v Joshua tomorrow, but I don't subscribe to any feeds, what do you recon my chances are? :)

For what it's worth I think Usyk is likely to win. He already knows he can beat Joshua because he already did. Joshua will have had to pick up lots of new skills to be able to win this I think.
