They're limited. They were made to look poor by a superior team, I think. That said, of course any game can go differently - it's not like they didn't create anything. But they're a very limited team, basically, looked it against Switzerland as well even though they won (dire match, that was). Did a number on Italy to get to the WC - spoiling Italy's attacks - but couldn't do anything like that against England today. Credit England for that, I think - they had enough in them to break Sweden down, and I think we shouldn't underestimate Sterling's role in doing that.

Sweden looked second class - but i think you have to credit england with that. They were patient, dominated possession and kept mistakes to a minimum. It wasn't fast paced, flowing attacking football - but it was exactly what was needed against this team. Sweden finished top of their group and beat holland in the qualifiers and italy in the playoffs - they were no mugs. Tactically spot on by southgate.
England have a decent team who are playing well as a unit and are full of confidence. They have every chance of beating croatia or russia and getting to the world cup final. fuck me.

She must have seen my face as she gamely pretended she wanted to watch too. Yeah, the group game was meaningless - Belgium are very impressive though. Not sure it's my "ideal" match for he final, I'd rather we were playing South Samoa in the final.

I don't give one about percy between you & Spymaster but you must expect a bit of shit after supporting Sweden on boards that are mainly English. I know editor is Welsh but has lived in England longer than Wales. The boards are Brixton based afterall.

This one of the trains of thought of today (watching the game with kids in the bar)...You almost want to grab all the under 13's and tell them to fuck off chasing butterflies or moaning about food or whatever shit under 13s do...And recognise the enormity of the occasion you are blessed to witness.

Naturally I'm sure both kids and parents would unquestionably appreciate this life changing insight, if I ever vocalised it
