This went well.
I've had it with that greased *honestly, too many expletives*. Plus the *once again* idiot of the manager can fuck right off. Almeida WAS the only functioning player in the attack, and the only target player in the squad. After the best goal chance for Portugal, when he broke Piqué (and Puyol almost deflected one into his own goal) Queirós decided to take him out for Axl Rose. Yeah, then the team let's a soft goal in, and you don't have anyone sitting on his arse or elsewhere to bomb balls in.
I can't blame Ricardo Costa. He's rubbish. Once he was a promising central defender, but it's being downhill since 2003 for him. A last resort defender. Obviously, other teams would take advantage of him. He finally got matched and a goal went in.

No offence, but Portugal without Deco were a lot better than Portugal with Deco.

Deco would be useful, if he played at his regular position instead of being pushed to the flank. Portugal lacked a playmaker - someone to link up Tiago and/or Meireles to the striker / wingers. Deco is knackered, but his entrance would still be far more useful than any of the dumbarse replacements by Queirós.
