fuck that, us Irish are the blacks of europe!
There used to be a similar notion, in Britain, of being politically black. I know a white Jewish man (atheist of Jewish family history) who was told by a south London housing co-op that he counted as black. This worked to his advantage, since they were looking for new 'black' members, not white ones.
fuck that, us Irish are the blacks of europe!
fuck all y'all white ass fucks!
Are you posting from under your robes at Friday prayers?
We're all black on the inside, baby.
NO! We are all Muslims on the inside.
At my second job they recently hired an "asian" kid because they could get a grant to pay his wages. The kid's last name: O'Reilly.
Maybe we're all Louis Farakan on the inside (Black and Muslim).

... Asian ORLY?
In American, "Asian" mean Chinese, Krean or even Japanese. Maybe he was half Asian, half Irish-American.
WTF is in the water in the US?
The action described in that blog sounds weird, insane, and incredibly stupid - did you mean to post it as an analogy for Northern Ireland or is that just coincidence?
that's out of order

I've read the one about the Irish before, it really underlines how racism is inherant to American culture.
It was built on racism really.
I agree racism has always been a part of american culture. But to say the country was built on racism is just superficial. How unique is it really when compared to the UK where it's about class (hereditary) and ethnicity? I get a kick out of the 19th century "Irish" identified as "the Irish" as in Irish Americans. Out of all the Irish immigrations to America the latecomers were the most anglicized of them all culturally speaking. The the needs to be gone. There were 'Irish' already here when "the" Irish were herded like cattle onto the ships.
