I bet anything you like they'll just turn up and whack it in without so much as glancing at it.
Pay on a credit card, AO will fit it, if they can't tell them to take it away and you're going to cancel the payment. I think they'll get it all sorted out. Are they going to take the old one away too?

I’ll be even more excited when we get a toilet door! Getting the final room (room of doom) plastered meant taking off the toilet door - over a month later we still don’t have one! It’s not doing much for the romance

The incredibly dull cooker saga continues. I got some tile backer board and fitted it behind the cooker (you guys might have warned me what a bastard it is to cut! :D). The installers pursed their lips at it and then decided it was ok, but apparently my gas bayonet is in the wrong place and needs to be moved behind the cooker, which is a total curve ball.

At this point I have to decide whether actually the time has come to go electric, given that gas is going to be phased out at some point, as they pointed out. This involves upgrading my circuit board and putting in a cooker circuit. But if I have to pay someone to move the gas bayonet the money might be better spent on this.

Thank god the cooker is actually working. It just only bakes on full. Not going to be getting a new cooker this side of Christmas I shouldn't think...

If it helps, moving into a place with a ceramic (I think) hob (not old style electric) after gas didn’t take long to get used to it and now it’s far preferable as it’s so easy to clean. It’s close to ten years old so I imagine newer ones with be even better.
Fan assisted electric ovens are pretty much the norm now too.

I think it's going to be pricey getting the electrics updated. I have a quote for this and as well as the new circuit board and new more powerful cooker circuit there's something about updating the gas and water bonding.

No, it's a pressure relief vent I think, looks like one from a boiler? If it's dripping it probably means the pressure relief valve needs replacing.

The reason it points back towards the wall is so that if it needs to activate it doesn't blast scalding steam at someone walking past.

I have a red sofa (cream carpet, cream walls) and I want to buy some cushions to go on it. Any suggestions of a good colour scheme to go for?

Sky blue really pops with red.
As do mid to bright greens, yellows, and even bright pinks.

You could just go for multicoloured cushions. The wall and floor are neutrals so they'll go with whatever you choose.

I love that alpaca/llama bedding, Looby ! Where is it from? I volunteer with alpacas and would love some alpaca themed items.

Still looking at cushions online but they're probably better bought in person.
