But no armchair?Well, I guess I've moved in now as I slept here last night.
Spent £200 at charity furniture shop today - round extendable wooden table, two wooden chairs, two small wooden chests of drawers, a woven bedside table thing, a wooden cabinet, a wooden shelf thingy, and a big mirror. (I only went in for an armchair!)
Also got some nice rugs from Argos/Habitat on sale.View attachment 283564
No - don't like any of the ones I've seen so far. There's one I want to get from Habitat online but it's constantly out of stock. But no armchair?
Wood burning stove arrived. Mrshakes and his mate wrangled 120kilos worth of stove out of the shop onto the truck and into the house. I drank wine with mates new girlfriend
40mm thick so should be ok I reckonGood luck, shall we take bets on where it suddenly decides to crack in half while you're cutting it?
You can get diamond cutting discs for angle grinders. Stihl saw may be too large for intricate work.I'd be using something like a Stihl saw with a diamond tipped masonry disc. If you're using an angle grinder with an abrasive disc, make sure it's a masonry disc.

Yeah, I’ve got an M Class extractor/hoover but dunno if water might be better. Suck it and see...You’ll also want a hose to play on it as you cut (sorry if this is egg-sucking advice).
I love the colours , it looks great.Dusty, slightly crusty flat is turning into a nice home gradually.

Bought a fridge today as well!
Might not be a good idea to be hosing it down while using an electric angle grinder.Yeah, I’ve got an M Class extractor/hoover but dunno if water might be better. Suck it and see...
Ah, good to know. Cheers.Might not be a good idea to be hosing it down while using an electric angle grinder.
It's a relatively thin slab of soft sandstone. I've cut through hard bricks before (75mm) without any cooling or problems.

You don't need to. The disc will flick water all over the place. Not quite sure where the idea came from that I’d be watering the actual, electric grinder!
Looking great. Have house envy!Dusty, slightly crusty flat is turning into a nice home gradually.
