Salt & Pepper

I'd go along with that
It's a lot easier to get the amount right with salt flakes as well - it's a lot 'gentler'
I also use Saxa (sp?) salt for water.

I have those but in red and white.

Salt comes in a cardboard tube jobby, or Madon salt in a glass jar until Mrs Selamlar smashed in

Pepper in a grinder is the only way.

peugeot, if poss.

White wine works wonders for that. Much better than salt, ime.
FFS!

Sod white wine, salt, monkey pee, druid incantations or any other bollocks old wives tales - just use some bloody Vanish stain remover!

Someone spilt red wine on the carpet during a post-party urbanite gathering at my place - a large quantity of salt was used, amongst god knows what else they purloined from the kitchen, in an attempt to rectify the mess. End result? A big pile of red wine flavoured salt with a large red wine stain underneath it.

Put salt on your chips, not the carpet!
