I wouldn't be so sure.
I watched a documentary on the Vice Presidency yesterday, from PBS. It was basically saying how it was a non-position when initially brought in, with no power or kudos. An afterthought as such. It then went on to show how things had to be altered in this century, with events happening that weren't considered previously, so the VP could take over if needed. It was amazing how this wasn't originally mandated for. The position has had to evolve. Apparently the VP didn't have an office in the WH until Nixon deigned to give one to Agnew, but he was still told basically you are not part of the inner circle and have no role.
So with a wannabe tyrant coming into power, with his big gob spouting all his bullshit with Project 2025 etc, I wouldn't put anything past them to alter any former terms and conditions. Fascists gonna fash.
