I watched a documentary on the Vice Presidency yesterday, from PBS. It was basically saying how it was a non-position when initially brought in, with no power or kudos. An afterthought as such. It then went on to show how things had to be altered in this century, with events happening that weren't considered previously, so the VP could take over if needed. It was amazing how this wasn't originally mandated for. The position has had to evolve. Apparently the VP didn't have an office in the WH until Nixon deigned to give one to Agnew, but he was still told basically you are not part of the inner circle and have no role.

So with a wannabe tyrant coming into power, with his big gob spouting all his bullshit with Project 2025 etc, I wouldn't put anything past them to alter any former terms and conditions. Fascists gonna fash.

Yes but the point is that the pos and his sycophants don't do rules. Fascists don't play nicely. I've just found a clip online, and it states that Johnson was denied an office by Kennedy, and was basically just sent around the world doing lots of glad handing. So until he took over after Kennedy's assassination, he was just like the previous VPs, pretty redundant. There obviously may be some misunderstanding with the term, as he had "an office", meaning his people etc., but he didn't have a physical office in the WH.

Don't know if I posted this before and I will phrase this carefully. A language teacher friend of mine worked with Brand at a language school in Central London (he had a stint in TEFL it seems) and his behaviour towards the students is very much in line with what you would expect it to have been.

I thought Russell Brand hadn't aged well but fucking hell Ross looks like a ghost of himself. This is a trailer which gives a good idea of his presentation in the programme. Barely a hint of the 'cheeky chappie' of yore appears left.
