Netflix recommendations

I see. I might have avoided it because I am bored shitless of zombies.
When I said Suicide Squad I meant 'The Suicide Squad' (which I thought was a reboot, didn't know it was a sequel) . . but yes, the first one is trash

The Batman one was probably OK but I could barely see anything that was happening. So dark. I appreciate the detective roots element. I think I have to accept that Batman is not for me (should have realised this a loooong time ago). I have seen most of the films and I don't like any versions of it or any of the comics I have read.
Not even Miller's Dark Knight Returns? I thought that was great - the idea of Superman being a god etc. Plus it was agreeably dark and fucked up in a way the films couldn't be.

Ah well, long term Batman fan here and have stayed throughout the highs and lows. Will be watching the Flash film, only for Keaton's Batman.

Don't let zombies put you off Kingdom. It's great fun. Pretty sure others here have recommended it before.

Kingdom was great until the end of the last episode of S2. That was so clumsy and cynical of the producers

Anyone else watching Outlast on Netflix? We're addicted here. 16 people have to survive in Alaska to win a million dollars but they can't finish alone. They have to be in a team.
It's all gone a bit Lord of the Flies with teams stealing others sleeping bags to force them to quit!

No spoilers! :D On ep 3!

I just started Ep 1 but I know OH is going to say that he wants to watch it with me so will probably manage to finish it watching together by about July or something
Not dissimilarly I am about to bravely sample an episode or two to see if mrsb will like it. I'll try not to sample the entire series like I did with, uhhh, far too much stuff.

Is it a drama about reality tv?

Have not, is it worth a look?

Er... well I liked it, it's a bit silly and not particularly well reviewed and ended abruptly (although not officially cancelled, season 2 just never happened leaving it all a bit up in the air).
So on that basis I wouldn't suggest paying anything to anyone to see it, but if you can find it for free then why not :D

This is actually quite unpleasant now.
Dangle a million dollars in front of people who mostly seem that they need a bit of a break, not everyone is having a great life so needs the money, and just watch the feeding frenzy :(

Outlast stuff:
The fart argument has to be the sorriest thing I've ever seen on TV

Outlast spoilers:

Also although I fucking hate the women on Alpha team, I really dislike the way that the bloke keeps over and over saying they are emotional - no they aren't, they are highly competitive to an absolutely mind-boggling (and clinical, rather than emotional, IMO) level that as a socialist makes me feel cold to the pit of my stomach and they are quite terrifying, but they are not emotional and you wouldn't say that about a man doing the same things, you'd just say he was competitive and takes no prisoners sort of praising him for it - the language used by some of the blokes comes naturally to them and is quite misogynistic - all this sort of language and perception about differences in the way men and women deal with stuff like this is really wired deep in our culture and that comes across in the language used by the men when complaining about the women.

Oh and he's just used the B word, quelle surprise. There isn't a single likeable person left in this now as pretty much everyone with a conscience or shred of human decency flared out when they saw the way it was going, I hope a meteor hits that part of (apparently otherwise uninhabited) Alaska and takes the rest of the fuckers out
