Be interesting to see how this plays out. There are only two " nominal offices of profit under the Crown", so unless more than one person can be appointed to them, there would be a queue when there are more than two M.P.'s resigning. And it apparently requires formal paperwork to be completed.

However that interview was yesterday and a day is a long time in politics. Earlier Morgan had confronted her with a clip of her saying she didn't want to cause a byelection just hours before she did just that. Or not. We shall see of course.
The
Morgan interview is quite entertaining particularly this bit. She explains how not getting a peerage is a slap in the face for everyone from a non-privileged background and blames posh boys for blocking her. Morgan points out that many would regard Boris as being from a privileged background - her response is classic.
