More police brutality than you can shake a stick at.

That was only a press release. In the autopsy there will be a measured level of fentanyl in the blood. I would suggest that people who die from fentanyl OD don't die after walking around doing some shopping, they die almost immediately after putting the drug into their system.

Traces of opioid in the system vs policeman kneeling into his neck for 8 minutes? I hope I know what a jury is going to believe.

It ain't legal to go around killing drug users. Yet.

All true. But you know the defence will make play of it, and it might give an amenable jury an easy 'out'. They'll spin it as a recognised technique that only had this outcome because of the combination of preexisting conditions and the victim's drug abuse.

if that's the case the defense counsel will have no issue with mr chauvin demonstrating the technique on their neck for nine minutes to demonstrate how harmless it is.

Posted and debunked about three times already. The video is a year or more old and he's not FBI.
No it hasn't been debunked, it's just not recent. And that particular video was uploaded to youtube yesterday and viewed nearly 2 million times since then on that channel.

sharing these shit old videos that have nothing to do with what's going on on the ground right now is -- literally -- fake news. people who knowingly continue to repost and share this stuff even after they know it's old and irrelevant: stop

Well...it's not shit it's real, it's not old the one I posted it was uploaded yesterday (although to be fair I haven't seen every video in the world although apparently I should have), the illegal harrassment of a black guy by american police is actually extremely contemporaneous....and if you and your statler and waldorf mates got your finger out your arses and posted something relevant and up to date yourself you wouldn't have as much time to call it....

fake news

Bursting to know what the ID was they looked at.
They were looking for a specific bloke and it was a case of mistaken identity. Apparently they were being constantly told that her wasn't xxxxx, and looked a bit silly when they checked his ID. Elsewhere it's been suggested that they did first ask him for ID and he refused to show it, which is what caused the cuffing.

It may have been an egregious bit if racist policing i.e. 'they all look the same'; or a completely reasonable case if mistaken identity which was quickly resolved with no harm done. I suspect the former is more likely, but, either way, this old video which doesn't show what is claimed adds very little to the current discussion.

In which regard, I'm quite surprised more hasn't been made if the ME designating this a homicide.

I'm a bit confused at the moment. I think the official ME has said 'not asphyxiation', and a private coroner hired by Floyd's family has said 'asphyxia' and 'homicide'.

Is that right?

No. The homicide bit has been added to the original ME report, not the private autopsy.

When cunts stop putting it up under a misleading caption and getting defensive when it's pointed out maybe they'll stop.
Ah right...quote my post, cunt.

Oh...let me do it for you.

A little relief.

A little light relief.

I posted it under a misleading caption did I? You're not worth a decent insult.

Anyway...everyone else is confused because they're talking about two entirely different videos whilst you're telling me that I'm misleading them. Carry on mate.

Dunno why you’re so sticking with this. You posted a bollocks vid. It’s been a bit of a theme on these threads for the last few days, tbf. Just move on!

The ME's preliminary report said:
"... revealed no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation..."

But their latest report is reported to say:
Cause of death: Cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression...

"Manner of death: Homicide. How injury occurred: Decedent experienced a cardiopulmonary arrest while being restrained by law enforcement officer(s)..."

The family's pathologist said:
"... asphyxia due to neck and back compression..."

If people are going to pile on to me they'll get some back. :)
