You pop windows with the end of an old spark plug, any run-of-the-mill car stereo thief knows that. If you get caught with one in your pocket they will do you for ‘going equipped’.

Anything metal and slightly pointy will do the side windows quote easily and spectacularly. There’s little that will get through the windscreen in one go in your hands. Even those little life hammer things will take hours... apparently.

Isn't striking someone with the butt of a weapon a legitimate CQB move? Does this not apply to shotguns, or have I been playing too many videogames?

A poke in the ribs with the barrel often offends. But trigger discipline and maintenance of the weapon is a bit key. I’d imagine.
