Living off the land 100%

I don't put everything on my blog. Can't be arsed to, or don't have the time, battery, or WiFi. Much of what I post is retrospective. That includes posting here.

I could be in Madrid for all you lot know ;)

Fuck off with the immature comments on my blog. That was just Five days of less than 40KM/day. That is about 8 Hours of hiking a day. With rest each 3 Hours it is a piece of piss even with a dodgy foot. You leave at sunrise (7AM), arrive at your destination by 6PM comfortably. Loads of daylight, and time to sort out cooking and somewhere to sleep. It really is a piece of piss.

Anyway...

Look at my beautiful new watch you fuckers. I can now tell Portuguese time even when my phone and laptop batteries are fucked.

It is made to the highest quality. Immaculately finished. Beautifully styled. It has all the right numbers and marks on the back. It is the first watch I have bought in almost 20 years. It replaces my Seiko pilots watch which went with my last backpack theft in Malaga last year after a 15+ year relationship.

It will help me increase the price of my sketches by 30% - 40%.

I have realised that none of you sad losers want to learn what I have learned about surviving very healthily off the land whilst being nomadic. All you sad twats want to know is how to make cash. This will be important to all of you in the post apocalyptic World, so, without prejudice, I am going to show you how this is done.

The hiking was out of this World fucking extraordinarily beautiful. It did go a little bit 'Deliverance' at times. Can't deny I was spooked a little, but spooked in a nice melodramatic sort of way.

The more you lot doubt - the sadder you all read.

If you bothered to look at my blog you would know that I have walked from Granada to the Ukraine in the past. I love hiking, and even with an old tendon injury, a well paced 40Km, or even 50KM is really not an issue.

I'm really, really enjoying it. Your loss in life really.

Walk Three hours. Rest 30 minutes. Walk Three hours. Rest 30 minutes. Walk Three hours. Rest 30 minutes. Barely a days work.
Did you take any pictures as you dandered down the coast?

My current watch is a classic

I think it was £12.00 :)

It is mass produced, an item for the masses.
Waterproof which is nice.
Clock, stopwatch and alarm.

Ah, now this thread could become educational. Those watches are good, being cheap, and they go on for ever BUT the damn wriststrap always breaks and then they live in a pocket, and considering how much other stuff lives in pockets, they become less-than-useful as a quick way to see what time it is.

So I'd like it if weltweit could share the secret of how not to break them, please.

I haven't had an issue with the strap yet, perhaps that is yet to come. I must have had this one 1 - 2 years so far and the strap hasn't deformed at all yet. I am on the second to last hole, in case that makes any difference. I think if the strap broke I would probably just buy another :)

My last watch which I liked a lot was this:

swatch-irony-automatic-21-jewels-swiss-made-men-s-body-soul-watch-pre-owned-13bd60cbf76f1d09c873c8f8eba9dbe7.jpg

It is a Swatch Irony, self winding which is great but there are no numbers on the face and sometimes glancing at it it takes a mo to register what the time is. Anyhow after many many years of faithful service it stopped winding itself so effectively and would occasionally stop.

I might take it up with swatch and see if I can get a deal on a replacement.

ukraine is not mentioned in your blog you know
It is.

I only crossed the border from Slovakia. Looked at the map. It was September. So, I turned around. But, I did get there.

Perhaps it was August 2010? Not sure without checking myself.
no it isnt. it is not mentioned, i have been following it for a while. not that it matters.

All in the same page. Even by Stanley's standards...

Take it to a jeweller and get a quote on servicing it. Apparently, they don't run indefinitely.
