He could try foraging these

I'm a bit partial to a plate of snails and a cold beer. The small ones are caracois and the large ones are carocolitos, loads of people go out and collect them after the rain. They also do a snack of chicken necks/hearts/giblets in a sauce that isnt as bad as it sounds.

OK. I have made a plan. New laptop screen is on it's way to a mates house in Lisbon. I am going to crack on with the hiking. My foot is relatively painless after a few minutes of excercising it - I don't think it is going to get z
any worse. Heading towards that place someone told me about here. I reckon it will be good lemon foraging country ;)

In the meantime, I have loads of fresh from the tree figs with loads of fresh from the bramble blackberries to turn into a very unique seaweed pudding :)

100% naturally foraged from the wilds.

I don't want to miss this stretch of hiking, because there are some fabulous wild beaches. Breakers, golden sands, dunes, forest spilling down to the sea, and virtually nobody else to be seen. It is a very special place. Windy of course mind.

Here is the incredible wave...

There is also an artists' collective here, or collective of artists. They occupy a couple of small streets with their works. Also, some guy who composed for the likes of John Coltrane had a studio here for his final years.

Lots of interesting stuff. Very affordable, and you don't have to walk far to get to the wilderness, and away from the tourists even in the height of summer.
