" I'll never wake up in a good mood again. I'm sick of these stinky boots." An American Prayer
It's a bit 'hardcore fans only' that record, isn't it? I thought it was VERY PROFOUND when I was 17. :D I doubt I would now. Cracking version of Roadhouse Blues on it though.

I've never listened to any of the post-Morrison Doors records. I can't imagine I'm missing much.

interesting split in the poll, twice as many who for some reason never had a pair but a healthy leather-trousered contingent here too.

very comfy, the three-quarter-length ones. Keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Get softer the longer you wear them.
We were in shorts right up until secondary school rain or shine, though don't think our winters touched yours for real cold.

Yes. Some of the lyrics/ poems are quite good in parts , some of it is overblown pomp set to what seems to be 1970s porn soundtrack . Roundhouse Blues is excellent.
The two post Morrison are lightweight, I can understand they would never live up to LA Woman the final Morrison album and needed to change tack a bit musically but nevertheless lightweight.

Other Voices would have been average/ok even if they had had Morrison or at least a singer .
Full Circle is a band that’s on auto drive going nowhere unfortunately.

motorcycle use only and I haven't ridden a bike in well over thirty years
Full leathers liberated from large store whilst camping in Paris. Two up to Pakistan and back to London whilst wearing ( in the far distant past I was a Antarctic Angel for a while so filthy clothes and body were expected to crack up the citizens ) .I shudder to even think of what was got up to ( Rustle a sheep and kill it in a motel room [ not me you understand I'd been a vegetarian for some time even then] and so on, god I was a prick.) anyhow flogged them to some bike shop in Kent for next to nothing, quality stuff. Anyone who has experienced gravel rash will wear at least thick jeans or preferably full leathers on a bike.

Never. I think the nearest I've got is borrowing my brother's PVC trousers, which he got from the small ads in the back pages of the NME in the late 70s :D

I wear leather jackets a lot and wonder if 'double leather' might be a fashion crime like double denim, unless you're a biker. (The last time I got on a motorbike was about 1982 and the thought of it now scares me shitless).

Also can't get past the not being able to wash them thing.

Double denim and double leather are both fine.
Double stripes however.... Literally a punishment by the state
