Laurence Fox. The twat.

Another one that amazes me is the number of people who don’t know what the letters after the numerals in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc are. Nobody has told them they correspond to the words firST, secoND etc. They think they’re random and probably there to cause confusion and trick them. So they’ll write 1th even when their mind is saying “first”. Seriously, it’s rife.
My favourite example of this comes from the very posh, very exclusive, very expensive preparatory school here "Pius X", which for years had signs outside calling itself "Pius Xth".

But yes, the Lea is the dividing line. It's still the dividing line between Tower Hamlets and Hackney for the most part - I don't think it's 100% reliable. I could be wrong and the dividing line is the river still. It's not something I'd stake my life on because boundaries change so much.

You're right, the Lea is one of the most important natural barriers in the area and it's been the border between Essex and Middlesex ever since Essex and Middlesex have existed. Maybe even before.

(Sorry that link is meant to go to the subsection 'natural boundary', anyway it's interesting, more interesting than the actual thread topic. Not the first time on this one tbh)

A lovely lady handed me a napkin with a special message. She said nothing, fearing the eyes of the Woke and their collective trans-judgement if she dared speak. My brother in Christ, Calvin, was on hand to escort her to the safety of the correct bathroom. These are the days the lord has sent to test me, Laurence Fox esquire.
