It's that whole "actions having consequences" thing that he struggles with, again, isn't it? Most people get this one straight in their heads at primary school.

Sometimes, when people realise that embracing the actions/consequences thing means that they might have to accept unhappy things about themselves, they decide that it is easier for them to deny the actions/consequences bit than admit they need to change something.
Which is fairly close to a definition of a narcissistic personality disorder.

Government health warning: Doing Your Own Research via the Internet instead of trusting the MSM may turn your brain to that root vegetable mush you can get at Sainsburys or Tescos, you know the one, a simple and tasty ready meal accompaniment. Swede, potato, maybe a bit of parsnip, all mashed up smoothly like what you have done to your mind, just pop it in the microwave. You deranged simpleton.

Laurence was sat there in court today with his mixed race girlfriend and mixed race close friend, being called a racist by three middle class white folks.
Woke is a joke.
Any other time in history, this would have been a comedy sketch.

Laurence Fox called 'intelligent racist' as High Court libel trial begins bit.ly /40Q7WIC
7:31 PM-Nov 22, 2023
In complete fairness I should make clear that according to his Barrister :
He is not a racist, he is a colour-blind liberal who dislikes racism, ‘progressive’ and identitarian politics.
I'm fascinated by the eight or nine approaches about work ('business opportunities') Fox claims he got in 2021 and 2022
But he lists just nine interactions in 2021 and 2022, including an offered online talk with Whoopi Goldberg and Sophia Loren, an approach to appear in Channel 4’s Scared of the Dark, the offer of a role in ‘Monkey Island’ and a possible appearance in a production called ‘Fornication Under the Consent of the King’. (Standard)
The five opportunities listed for 2023 include an offer to appear on the show Banged Up, where high-profile figures including EastEnders actor Sid Owen and the Conservative MP Johnny Mercer spent several days locked in a decommissioned prison. (Guardian)
I wonder if the other three or four 'opportunities' were up to that standard.
They don't seem to include the £1,153,300 donation which his Reclaim Party received from multimillionaire fund manager, Brexit supporter and steam train enthusiast, Jeremy Hosking in the first quarter of 2021, according to the Electoral Commission. (A big chunk of the £2,994,414 the party had received in donations up to June this year, all of it from individuals). I would have thought that getting a large amount of money from a patron to set up your own political-theatre company was a very substantial 'business opportunity'.

Oh, THAT'S why she's been dragged out. No doubt Fox is naive enough to think that playing the "some of my best friends are mixed-race" card is some kind of slam-dunk in a libel case around racism

So he called them paedophiles first (which his brief has clarified that he didn't mean at all) and they responded and called him racist (which his brief has presumably said they did mean, but are anyway supported by his tweets which any sensible person* would likely agree were actually quite racist)?
Now they're suing him for calling them paedophiles but they don't seem to be claiming that he caused them loss? And he's countersuing them for having caused him loss because the two people called him racist and everyone believed them, rather than because people read his tweets and decided he is ... actually racist?

Well, they called him racist first, but it was in response to a racist Tweet he made. His defence for calling them paedophiles is that them calling him racist was baseless (hint: it wasn't) and he was just responding in kind.
