When I said "People will obviously make their own decisions about this kind of thing" I'd hoped to indicate that I wasn't expressing a judgement about other peoples choices. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear.

My own choice not to post the picture was partly because I really disliked what this fucker was doing posting it. But also partly because, although I'd seen it suggested, it wasn't clear to me that these were his children, and I didn't want to bring them into it if that wasn't the case. But the picture is obviously out there. And what he was doing does need to be addressed.

People - I won't say just narcissistic types - who get into the state he's in cross a line in their heads where it's (perhaps) impossible for them to walk it back. He's consumed by the idea that EVERYTHING is some kind of attack on his ego, and that the only way he can respond is "attack, attack, attack". With any luck, he half-realises that he's on a spiral of doom and there's nothing he can do to stop himself powering ever-more-rapidly around that spiral.
