It is unlikely a Labour government will be able to meet its ambition to spend £28bn a year on green initiatives, a source close to Sir Keir Starmer has told the BBC.
Labour announced the flagship policy at its annual conference in 2021. But in June shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves watered the pledge down, saying the figure would not be reached until 2027. Now, it is understood the figure will probably not be reached at all.
The Labour manifesto will be a sheet of blank paper so if elected they won't be accused of breaking pledges
And then when in office they will only commit to deliver half of the blank sheetThe Labour manifesto will be a sheet of blank paper so if elected they won't be accused of breaking pledges

Yeah, but which half? And then when in office they will only commit to deliver half of the blank sheet
Sources close to Sir Keithly Shammer have confirmed the Labour campaign song will be Sir Bruce Forsyth's 'I'm backing britain'It won't be completely blank, there'll be a printed on it.

Amusingly....Funnily enough, when I read this story yesterday I was thinking of asking for alternative suggestions, and you may have won the competition before it even started.
Keir Starmer chooses Ode to Joy as music to 'sum up' Labour

If only Labour had an official anthem he could have chosen that instead
They already went to court under Gordon Brown to argue manifesto commitments arent binding (which they won)And then when in office they will only commit to deliver half of the blank sheet
A post on another forum I visit has made me aware of this organisation going to unseat Starmer:
OCISA
ocisa.org.uk
And she is an economically illiterate plagiarist"Good people put off politics"
Reeves is on record as saying that Palestinians weren't living under occupation after Israel left the Gaza strip. No more trustworthy than Starmer.
Yeah it’s the focus grouped “this is the bit of classical music most people know, so choose that” option
